GENERAL MANAGER MESSAGE

Dear Members,

Thank you for a wonderful July! We have so many new members enjoying the Safe Harbor Peninsula Yacht Club.

I am very excited to announce that we will be getting Ethernet to the docks. This should help greatly with our service to the docks. We are always thinking of things that our members would see as an enhancement to their membership.

The deck is almost finished! We are excited that this extends the ability to have more members enjoying The Outrigger. The view is spectacular and we look forward to seeing you there.

We have an SHM LKN lake-wide event for all of our members of SHPYC, Skippers, Kings Point and Westport. Come out and mingle with the other SHM members at this event, Saturday, August 12 from 11-4pm. We will have complimentary hamburgers and hot dogs, X-Shore rides, a band and much more. Please look for the flyer in this The Watch. RSVPs are required to attend this event so that we can prepare accordingly. We look forward to seeing you at this first SHM LKN event.

The Fleet Raft-Up is scheduled for August 4. This one will be a little different and I am sure you will enjoy it. It will be from 6-8:30pm at Reggie’s Cove. It is always so much fun when members are rafting up with other members for a great time.

Member Mixer is on the 11th, and if you are a new member, this is time to meet other members. We have complimentary hors d’oeuvres and beer until they run out.

For the kids, we have the BarbieTea party. The tea parties are always a sell out so please get your reservations in early. Our SHPYC team always has a great time with our members children.

If you haven’t enjoyed a wine down cruise yet, they are very popular and what a way to see the sun go down. You won’t be disappointed. This is an adult only excursion.

Please remembers it is always a great idea to make reservations for our Dining Room so that we can make sure that we have a table to serve you.

Our members have been taking advantage of our wide variety of the Yacht Member Services here at the club. Please call the Ship Store at extension 6513. They look forward to serving you.

Our new menu will start on August 17th and Chef is excited. We look forward to rolling this out to our members to enjoy the delicious cuisine from Chef Andres and his team.

As we are in the 27th year of our club, we have been experiencing issues with our kitchen pipes. We will be doing an extensive pipe and reno repair to the kitchen drains & pipes beginning Monday, August 28. The dining room will be closed during this time. The Outrigger will be open every day during this time. We also plan to have dining events on the back lawn as well. We will keep you informed on the exact date that we will be able to reopen for dining. We are aiming for the end of the week barring we do not run into any complications. Thank you for your patience while we do this much needed repair work.
