Pétanque is a bowling game that comes from a family of games called “boules” which include some more well-known variants such as lawn bowls and bocce and we have a well-established Pétanque Club right here on our doorstep, in Moorooduc.

The story of the Ticonderoga was passed down through generations of the Veitch family but it was left to the great-great-grandson, Michael Veitch, to record the event: “Hell Ship”, a gripping narrative account of the voyage of the Ticonderoga. Coming soon to the Frankston Arts Centre, he presents a one man theatre piece in which he takes the audience on his great-great-grandfather’s journey.
