Gas prices rise in time for spring Summer fuel blend blamed; to fall in May? BY ARWYN RICE AND JEREMY SCHWARTZ PENINSULA DAILY NEWS
Of the signs of spring on the North Olympic Peninsula and elsewhere in the nation, none is so unwelcome as the annual rise of gas prices. Prices per gallon for regular unleaded gas as reported Saturday ranged from $3.90 to $3.59 in Clallam County and from $3.89 to $3.61 in Jefferson County. “Spring is the most frustrating

PORT ANGELES — Paul Conroy, Clallam County’s newly hired deputy prosecuting attorney, is resigning. “It was a personal decision of mine,” said Conroy, who was the subject of a 2011 sexual harassment lawsuit that was settled by the city of Aberdeen for $580,000 in May 2013. Conroy said Friday he intends to quit by the end of this month. He was hired Conroy March 3 by newly appointed county Prosecuting Attorney William Payne to prosecute felony crimes.
