1. Festival Introduction

The 2025 Norway · Global Piano Festival is a newly established international event dedicated to young piano talents and hosted annually in different countries. The Oslo edition also serves as an Overseas Branch Venue of the Shanghai International Piano Masters Art Week.

We warmly invite pianists from around the world to enjoy:

1. Masterclasses led by eminent professors and jurors from top international piano competitions

2. Pianist Career Planning Seminar, with free one-on-one consultations for festival participants

3. Concert Opportunities for outstanding young talents on a global performance circuit

4. Professional Networking with agents, orchestras, theatres and record labels

1. International Jury & Faculty

Featuring judges and artists from the Chopin Competition (Poland), Eastman Young Artists, Gina Bachauer (USA), Arthur Rubinstein, Cleveland (USA), Ettlingen (Germany), Liszt-Weimar (Germany) and Grieg (Norway).

2. Professors from Prestigious Conservatories

New England Conservatory, Eastman School of Music, Cleveland Institute of Music, Indiana University Jacobs, University of Cambridge, Shanghai Conservatory of Music, and more.

3. Fostering Piano Dreams

Exceptional participants may receive concert engagements, album recordings and media coverage.

4. Career Development

A dedicated Young Pianist Career Planning Seminar offers deeper insight into professional pathways.

5. Performance Opportunities

o All participants perform in the Final Gala Concert (15 Aug).

o Global Future Musicians Competition winners join international tours:

• 1st Prize – 3 solo recitals • 2nd Prize – 2 solo recitals

• 3rd Prize – 1 solo recital • 4th–10th Prize – 1 multi-solo concert

5. Who Should Attend

• Individuals seeking top-tier instruction, international exposure and career guidance

6. Tuition & Inclusions

Tuition: EUR 2,000 (USD 2,200) per participant

Included

• 3 masterclasses with chosen professors

• Unlimited auditing of all masterclasses

• Practice-room access

• Admission to all festival concerts & seminars

Not Included

International travel, accommodation, meals, visa fees, personal insurance, other personal expenses

7. Key Deadlines & Payment Policy

1. Application Deadline: 15 June 2025 (rolling admissions)

2. Notification of Acceptance: by email after committee review

3. Two-Installment Payment

o Deposit: EUR 300 (USD 350) due within 14 days of acceptance, non-refundable

o Balance: EUR 1,700 (USD 1,850) due by 31 June 2025

Refund Policy

• Deposit: non-refundable

• Balance: 50 % refund if cancellation ≤ 31 June 2025; no refund thereafter Payment indicates acceptance of all festival terms.

8. Important Notes

1. Eligibility: open to young pianists, recommended by teachers or institutions.

2. Faculty Selection: choose up to 3 professors; final assignment depends on scheduling.

3. Competition: 60 min repertoire minimum; judges select excerpts.

4. Attendance: no make-up classes for lateness/absence.

5. Media Rights: all recordings belong to the Organizing Committee.

6. Safety & Liability: participants responsible for own safety and belongings.

7. Minors: under-18s need signed parental consent; supervision is parent/guardian’s responsibility.

2. Committee Review acceptance email sent to successful applicants

3. Pay Fees deposit within 14 days; balance by 31 June 2025
