Since 2010, we have offered a wide range of our cutting-edge products for the popular VW Transporter, often being first to market as new models are launched. This brochure highlights some of the more popular models in the range, and what you can expect from a Pendle Performance remap if you visit our HQ or one of our many approved agents.

Pendle Performance proudly carries out all research and development in house from its Lancashire nerve centre, and we pride ourselves on recruiting and working with the very best. As well as the aforementioned 30-plus agents across the country and beyond, there are also regional Pendle Performance HQs and R&D centres across the continent, all with advanced four-wheel drive MAHA dynamometers.

Everything that we sell to market has been extensively researched, tested and perfected before being uploaded to a customer’s ECU, so you can be assured of quality products that deliver consistent excellence.

As we offer a truly bespoke solution for each and every customer (something no other major tuning brand can offer in the same way), please note that the figures quoted on the following pages are for reference only. TRANSPORTER T4 (2000-2003) We offer performance software upgrades for the 2.5-litre TDI-powered T4-generation Transporters from 2000 onwards at all approved agent sites that boast a dyno (tuning options are available for pre-2000 T4s, but only at Pendle Performance’s Lancashire HQ).

Unlocking performance from this vehicle’s Bosch EDC15 ECU is a truly beneficial way of opening up more performance from these popular vans, that continue to make for popular commercial vehicles and campervans.

Utilising Bosch’s EDC16 ECU, both the popular 1.9-litre and 2.5-litre TDI PD units see impressive performance hikes with Pendle Performance software installed.

TRANSPORTER T5.1 (2010-2015) The T5 Transporter’s mid-life refresh coincided with the launch of Euro5 emissions regulations.

As a result, all diesel engines were 2.0-litre TDI common-rail units.

The 84bhp, 102bhp and 114bhp-specification variants all carry the exact same hardware, meaning their Bosch EDC17CP20 ECUs can all be programmed in the same way to produce around 160-170bhp and 330Nm of torque in a safe manner. With improved hardware, the 140bhp and 180bhp-spec vans offer even more in the way of performance gains when given the Pendle Performance treatment.

Euro5 engines with a five-speed gearbox must be tuned for progressive torque delivery, with peak torque between 2800-3200rpm.

The updated 2.0-litre TDI common-rail units saw minor improvements in efficiency from the previous generation, now sporting a Delphi DCM6.2 ECU. PLEASE NOTE: Euro6 engines with a five-speed gearbox must be tuned for progressive torque delivery, with peak torque between 2800-3200rpm. The 84-102bhp models require correct ECU calibration for safe turbo control, exhaust gas temperatures and exhaust manifold pressures.
