Colne Primet & West Craven Proms 2023!

Year 11 students from Colne Primet Academy and West Craven High School enjoyed a night to remember at their leavers’ proms held at Stirk House.

Students enjoyed a three course meal before dancing the night away, with Blowjangles playing at the West Craven event and Primet students enjoying a disco and Oscars themed awards ceremony. Teaching and support sta , who have worked with the students throughout their five years at secondary school, joined in the celebrations before saying goodbye for a final time before GCSE results day in August.

Lynne Blomley, Pendle Education Trust Director of Education, said: “The 2023 Year 11 cohort have had their time at secondary school impacted on hugely by the Covid-19 pandemic so it was fantastic to be able to get them all together over two nights at Stirk House to celebrate all of their achievements and resilience.

“We look forward to seeing them again on GCSE results day and then following their future educational journeys through college, apprenticeships and into employment.”
