WELCOME, We appreciate your presence at our sale and watching online. The last year has been quite eventful with sufficient rainfall, resulting in the successful growth of our cattle. This year marked my 6th year in selling bulls and have grown to open heifers. It’s a very interesting business.
I must extend my thanks to Frank and TJ Kindle, who provided invaluable assistance with calving the heifers we bought last year and graciously allowed me the use of their barn. I also wish to thank David Score, Paul Score and Dylan Brown who helped me build my new barn and also provided critical support while my husband was in Billings, receiving care at the hospital.
Sincerely, Heather Martin

Dear Customers and Friends,
Welcome to the 8th annual Koss Angus Bull sale. We are blessed for all the support from our buyers, we could not make this possible without you. We believe here at Koss Angus that you shouldn’t be working for your cattle but that your cattle should be working for you. We consider it a privilege to raise seed stock that will be adding genetics to your cow herd. Here at the ranch we strive for cattle that can handle the unpredictable climate of Northeast Montana, whether it be the harsh brutal winters, or the hot and dry summers. We try to raise cattle that not only survive in these conditions, but will thrive. We have built our cow herd with genetics we feel will get the job done, cattle with low inputs, good maternal instincts, solid feet, good fertility, and all while maintaining good growth and performance. Thank you for the interest in our program. We believe you will be pleased with the bulls in this year’s sale. If you have any questions or just want to visit don’t hesitate to call. I would like to make a special thanks to my parents (Kevin and Brenda), my wife (Iris), and to all the surrounding neighbors. We wouldn’t be able to make this possible without you.
Sincerely, Kendall and Iris Koss

Welcome to our annual production sale. Hard to believe we have been selling seed stock for 11 years. The last 3 years with the help of our two daughters, Nova and Aspen. They always love getting to help with everyday ranch activities. They are always up for late night calving checks, moving cows to new pasture, traveling to touring other operations as we look for new genetics, attending sales with us, picturing bulls and working cows even in those negative temperatures and of course clicking the bid button on online sales! We couldn’t imagine doing this life without them.
We are proud of the cowherd we have created, they’ve weathered droughts, blizzards, and anything Montana’s crazy weather sends our way. So blessed to have had some rain and grass this year for the herd. We have brought back all our cows from our partners in the fall of 2024. We have also expanded our herd into some red angus genetics and are excited to build on both programs to reach our herd goals.
Need to thank Heather Martin for managing the day-to-day responsibilities for the last 4 years. Believing in our genetics and always voicing an opinion if she felt I was getting heavy with the bander! This will be the last set of bulls carrying our FD brand as we will be using our Rising 4 Cattle Brand in the future years to come.
Thank you to all our past and current customers who have believed in our program and helped us reach where we are today, we couldn’t have done it without you. Thank you to our future customers for taking the time to inquire about our program. If you have any questions please call, text or find us sale day.
Thanks again, Rising 4 Cattle - David, Micaela, Nova and Aspen Score
MARTIN WICK 414 is the grandson of the famous bull Six Mile John Wick 882E and we're expecting him to follow in his grandpa's footsteps.
The last I saw of the famous Wick was off the market, but the other day I saw an ad that said they were wanting $2,500 a straw on him.
The females out of this bull should be phenomenal. I feel this bull mimics his grandsire to a tee from his flawless build and structure, coupled with his presence he should help take any program in the right direction. He should also add depth to his calves. Will collect before delivery.
MARTIN JUMBO 422
We have lots of half brothers to this bull as I used him exclusively, as I took him out of rotation. I have used sons on cows and heifers; my heifers are medium to large with little to no problems.

Leading off the Koss Bulls is a Chinnook son out of one of the most proven cows on the ranch, this is a cow bull with a lot of length and depth on top of a solid set of feet. This bull is going to produce calves that will tip the scale in your favor in the fall. This bull is the heaviest weaned calf of this year’s bulls coming off the cow 765 lb.
It was a tossup between this bull and Lot 1 to lead off this year’s sale. This is another Chinnook son that is very well built and eye appealing, this is a cow bull that has it all. This bull is moderate framed and has a tremendous hip, with lots of length and depth. I believe this bull will not only produce some of the nicest looking and heaviest steer calves of the bulls in the sale but is also going to produce some awesome females. He weaned off at 695 lb and has excelled in this group of bulls from the start. This guy is going to be a great addition to someone’s cow herd.

Another Chinnook son that I believe will be great on heifers or cows. This bull has a +10 CED and BW of 1.7, but he’s not just calving ease this bull has exceptional performance to go with this calving ease. This bull Weaned off at 750 lb and has continued to be at the top of this year’s bulls. If you are looking for a heifer bull without sacrificing growth this will be an exceptional pick, or if you are just looking for a cow bull with some calving ease and growth this bull is a top pick.

This is a bull when you look through the bulls that catches your attention immediately. This is another heifer bull that isn’t just going to give you calving ease, but comes with some growth and performance. If you are looking to improve your 2-year-old heifers weaning weights I believe this guy can get it done. This bull weaned off at 640 lb.
Lot 24 is another cow bull out of one of my favorite cows on the ranch.
This bulls Grand damn is an exceptionally put together cow that has produced some of the best females in my program.
This bull has great performance numbers with a YW of 107, this bull weaned off at 670 lb.
Lot 25 another Chinnook son that is going to be a great cow bull, this bull’s damn goes back to Cole Creek 104 Juanada 8m which in my opinion is one of the best cow family’s in the business, this bull should make some great self-sufficient females along with some great steer calves that will weigh the scale down in the fall and continue to excel on feed. This bull weaned off at 605 lb.
Lot 26 is the first of two Ideal 4223 sons offered in this year’s sale. This Ideal son is going to make a tremendous heifer bull. This bull was raised on a very moderate framed first calf heifer, and what a job she did bringing this guy in for weaning at 615 lb. This bull has a 68 lb birth weight a has a YW EPD of 100. This is a bull I expect great things from that is on a great set of feet with good length and a straight flat topline.

KOSS IDEAL 413 is the second and final bull sired by Ideal 4223, this bull is out of a Chinnook first calf heifer. This bull was calved out at 74 lb and weaned off at 555 lb. Lot 32 is a cow bull that weaned off a little lighter than some of the other bulls, it was a tough year for everyones weaning weights.
This bull even though he is a little behind some of the other bulls in the sale, I believe this bull is going to develop really well.
This bull has a very good look to himhas great feet and I still feel even being a little light at weaning is going to be a great addition to someone’s cow herd.
A cow bull with Chinnook on both sides of the pedigree, this is a bull I believe will continue to grow and excel and would be a good addition to the cow herd.
Lots 34 - 36 are selling commercial, they are out of cows bought from another registered program and unfortunately the cows didn’t match up with who they were supposed to be.
The Cows are great cows and these bulls will be great additions to anyone’s herd regardless if they have papers or not.
I would recommend these bulls be used on cows only. These bulls are very well built and I believe they will produce great calves.
