The carefully crafted exercises will help students become versatile writers who are adept at using different methods to arrange words together to achieve the most compact sentence. They will learn about sentence evaluation which is based on six closely related writing components:

The six workbooks in the series contain multiple sentence-combining activities which first help students identify short, choppy sentences in their own writing, and thereafter, guide them in combining and rearranging their ideas to produce a multi-dimensional piece of writing. As they get more practice in generating more complex sentences from shorter ones, they will discover that when a single word is removed from a sentence, or if its position is changed in that sentence, the whole meaning of that sentence and its impact on readers will be entirely changed.
