711 MONTGOMERY STREET - COWORKING SPACE

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

711 Montgomery Street stands as an exciting new addition to the landscape of Jersey City, New Jersey, featuring a modern multi-family rental building. This impressive development rises 16 stories high and boasts 285 residential units, ranging from studios to three-bedroom spaces. In my role as a lead interior designer for this project, I had the privilege of overseeing various aspects of the design process.

My responsibilities included developing client presentations, conducting space planning, creating detailed models, and curating finishes, furniture, and lighting selections to ensure a cohesive and inviting interior environment. Specifically, I played a key role in designing the coworking space, gym, and laundry facilities, as well as crafting the layouts and selecting fixtures for the unit kitchens and bathrooms. Collaborating closely with architects from Marchetto Higgins Stieve Architects, our team seamlessly coordinated the development of construction documents to bring the vision for 711 Montgomery Street to life.

10
711 Montgomery Street - Coworking Space - Jersey City, New York - Multi Family Rental Building

PLANNING STRATEGY:

To conceal the original construction center column, the space has been creatively reimagined. An accent wall, complemented by phone booths and a central café area, now defines the core of the space. Surrounding this central hub are open workspaces, semi-private workspaces, and private workspaces, each strategically positioned to optimize functionality and encourage collaboration.

The design fosters moments of engagement and interaction between spaces, inviting individuals to seamlessly transition between different work areas. Furthermore, designated team workspaces facilitate the exchange of information and promote a dynamic and collaborative work environment. This approach not only enhances efficiency but also injects a sense of playfulness into the

that is both functional and engaging.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

In this project, I collaborated closely with a fitness solution counselor to integrate a given gym equipment layout into the existing space. Utilizing selected rubber flooring finishes provided by the client, I strategically created a visual dialogue between the flooring design and the construction of the space. To enhance the overall aesthetic and functionality, I introduced turf elements to offset the darker areas of the rubber flooring, creating a dynamic and visually appealing environment.

Employing a thoughtful approach, I used lines to delineate clear boundaries between different equipment areas, ensuring a seamless flow and optimal utilization of space. Furthermore, I incorporated materials consistent with those used in the co-working space, such as wood wallpaper, to introduce warmth and cohesion throughout the design.

PROJECT INFOMATION:

• Location: Las Vegas, Nevada

• Project Type: Retail Design

• Year: 2021

• Work Scope: Scmatic Design - Indivial Work

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

Le Sweet Lab, a sweet brand, secured a spot in an exclusive locale to kickstart their venture in Las Vegas, Nevada. I was tasked with crafting the store’s ambiance, including 2D floor plans and 3D models. For the reception desk, I envisioned a design inspired by the ethereal beauty of swirling clouds, using white marble as the base adorned with graceful grey veins. This choice not only nods to the scientific elegance of fluid dynamics found in interacting with sugar and cream on different terms but also captures the essence of gravity’s dance and the elemental interplay. My mission was to evoke the swirling energy inherent in Le Sweet Lab’s brand identity, paying homage to the captivating motion that defines its branding.

PET CAFE & HOTEL - EXPLORING SYMBIOTIC ANIMAL & HUMAN RELATIONSHIPS

PROJECT INFOMATION:

• Location: Brooklyn, New York

• Project Type: Commercial Design

• Year: 2020

• Work Scope: Architecture & Interior Design - Individual Work

• Media: CAD, Sketch up, Rhino, Enscape, Photoshop

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

By exploring the symbiotic relationship between humans and animals, I envisioned a multifunctional environment that seamlessly integrates retail spaces, salons, grooming facilities, cafes, and daycare services. This innovative concept creates a welcoming atmosphere where both people and pets can enjoy spending time together, fostering a sense of connection and harmony within the space. Embracing an organic design approach, the space harmoniously blends functionality and aesthetics to create a truly unique experience for visitors and their furry companions.

RESREACH: FIVE WAYS THAT PETS BENEFIT HUMAN'S HEALTH

The bond between pets and humans fosters a healthy and positive relationship. Pet ownership offers numerous health benefits to individuals, including a sense of calmness, companionship, opportunities for daily exercise, enhanced security, and increased social interaction. This symbiotic connection enriches lives and contributes to overall well-being, promoting a happier and more fulfilling lifestyle for both pets and their owners.

Dogs do see colors, but dog cones can only detect 2 colors, and no one is exactly certain which colors they are able to detect, however, some experts believe it could be blue and yellow.

Cats are known to have a limited ability to see color as compared to humans, They are known to be partially colorblind because they cannot detect red hues, only blues, and greens.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

My design inspiration draws from my deep appreciation for the 5,000 square feet school campus and the envisioned potential of the art center. With this in mind, I developed a concept for the Architecture Art Center that goes beyond a mere architectural structure. It serves as a dynamic embodiment of culture and art, while also serving as a platform for fostering meaningful cultural exchange among students. The concept is designed to create a synergy between spatial functionality and the limitless possibilities for student engagement and growth. By embracing this approach, the art center becomes more than just a physical space—it becomes a catalyst for creativity, innovation, and cultural understanding among students, enriching their educational experience and inspiring their future endeavors.

SITE DESCRIPTION:

The site is located on the west side of the sports field. The surrounding area is quiet and the view is grand. Most importantly, this site is far from the dormitory area and will not affect students daily lives.
