Life of the Congregation

Honor her for all that her hands have done, and let her works bring her praise at the city gate. —Proverbs 31:31 Today, we honor the work of your hands, mothers. May we always recognize your love, celebrate your commitment, and express our appreciation. The countless ways you show love and the endless effort you provide in selfless service to your family is worthy of praise at the city gate and beyond. Today and everyday.

Prayer of Confession

O Lord of life and love, we admit today that there is so much in life we take for granted. We take our health for granted; we take our next meal for granted; we take the dawn of a new day for granted; and today, we admit that we have taken our mothers for granted. Forgive our ungrateful ways, and shape us to be people who are ever more thankful for the blessings of life. This and all our confessions we make in the name of Jesus, continuing our personal and private confessions in silence…
