ELDER NOMINEES CLASS

OF 2027

KITTY CORRELL

Kitty Correll has been a member of Peachtree for more than 15 years and has previously served on the Session. Kitty has been active with the Hospitality and Stephen Ministry at Peachtree and has chaired many philanthropic events in Atlanta. She and her husband, Alston, raised their three adult children at Peachtree Church. Their kids now participate in student ministry leadership and Young Professionals. Kitty is the co-founder of Wonderfully Made, a ministry at Peachtree Church that cultivates community for adults with intellectual disabilities.

CHRIS FELLOWS

Chris Fellows grew up attending Peachtree with his family, and is an alum of Peachtree’s preschool, children’s choir, and basketball league. He is married to Kathryn and they have three children, Henry (11), Amelia (9), and Robert (7). At Peachtree he is involved in the Connections Class, Children’s Ministry, and IRONMEN. Chris is the Managing Director of Fountain Gate Advisors, a corporate finance advisory firm.

SARAH FICKE

Sarah Ficke grew up in Louisville, KY, and has lived in Atlanta since 2017. After attending Samford University, Sarah worked in fundraising in Birmingham and was an active member of Redeemer Community Church. Sarah and Brooks were married at Peachtree Church in Kellett Chapel in 2013. They have two children, Savannah (7) and Bryce (5). Sarah is a member of the Connections Class, has participated in both Peachtree Women’s Ministry Bible Studies and WCBS, and has volunteered with VBS and in Children’s Ministry. Sarah joined Peachtree Church and MOPS shortly after moving to Atlanta. Involvement in that ministry helped her get settled in Atlanta and feel more at home. Sarah chaired MOPS in 2020-2021 and is excited and honored to serve Peachtree Church in a new way as an Elder.

MISSIE GOODING

Missie Gooding and her husband, Doug, have been members of Peachtree since 2003, after moving to Atlanta from South Florida with their three daughters.

Missie attended SMU, and later worked as a Flight Attendant for Delta before focusing all of her time on family. She now stays busy through a range of activities including tennis, Bible studies, walking Chastain Park, and golf as well as working part-time at Frolic Boutique. She is on the Board of Directors for Atlanta Youth Tennis and Education Foundation (AYTEF) and volunteers for other Atlanta-based organizations.

Missie and Doug are currently members of the Builders Class but treasure their many friendships from the FaithMates Class. She also serves on the Hospitality Team as an Usher on Sunday mornings.

JOANNE JOINER

Joanne Joiner and her husband, Mike, have been members of Peachtree Church for over 40 years. During this time, she has served as an Elder, Stephen Ministry Leader, member of the Prayer Team, Elder Nominating Committee, Benevolence Committee, a Children’s Ministry Volunteer, and a MOPS Mentor mom. She served on the Board of the Lifegate Counseling Center and the Buckhead Christian Ministry, and has been serving as a Women’s Community Bible Study leader for over 20 years. Joanne grew up in Atlanta, attended the University of Georgia, and was a Flight Attendant for Delta Air Lines for 33 years.

TODD MARKLE

Todd and his wife, Beverly, have been members of Peachtree since 1998. Over the years, they have been active in the Children’s Ministry and in the Lifemates Sunday School class. They raised both of their now adult children at Peachtree. Todd continues to be involved in IRONMEN and recently participated in the Men’s mission trip to Guatemala.

Todd serves as a judge on the Georgia Court of Appeals, a position he was appointed to by Governor Nathan Deal in 2018. Todd previously worked as Governor Deal’s executive counsel until Governor Deal named him to the Superior Court of Fulton County in 2011. Before entering public service, Todd practiced law in Atlanta for more than 20 years, most of which were with his own firm.

In his spare time, Todd enjoys reading, traveling, and playing golf.

ANDREW S. MCGHEE

Andy McGhee is the Founding Partner of Archway Equity Partners. He previously served as the Vice- Chairman of White Oak Commercial Finance, the President and CEO of AloStar Capital Finance, and as a Senior Vice President of SunTrust Bank.

Currently, Andy serves on the Terry College of Business Alumni Board at the University of Georgia and as a member of the Board of Directors for Piedmont Hospital of Atlanta. He has also served on the SFNet Board of Directors, IFA Southeast Board of Directors as well as the Atlanta ACG Board. Andy received a BA in Economics from the University of Georgia.

MITCH PURVIS

Mitch Purvis has been a member of Peachtree since 1984. After graduating from Davidson College and Vanderbilt Law School, he practiced as a business attorney in Atlanta for 44 years. Mitch is actively involved in IRONMEN at Peachtree and has served on the Session three times previously. He is married to Dixie Purvis, and they have three sons and seven grandchildren.

STEPHEN ROGERS

Stephen and his wife, Mary, have been members of Peachtree for 9 years. He made his profession of faith and was baptized in a Baptist church at age 8, where he was an active member for 47 years. He recently completed a 27-year career as a local homebuilder, preceded by a 12-year career as a management consultant. He received his BBA degree from Emory University, and his MS Finance degree from Georgia State University. At Peachtree, Stephen is active in the Chancel Choir and IRONMEN. He volunteers with Urban Recipe, Habitat for Humanity, Seeds of Hope, and has been with IRONMEN to Kids Alive International in Guatemala. Stephen and Mary have two adult children, Will and Stephanie, and a daughter-in-law, Lauren, who are all members of Peachtree.

PAT STEVENS

Pat Stevens and his wife, Kathy, have been active members of Peachtree Church since 2014. They live in Historic Brookhaven and have three kids Austin, Kate and Andrew who are all actively involved in the Peachtree Church youth programs. Pat grew up in Atlanta, GA, and graduated from the University of Georgia. Pat has been with Truist Securities for more than 20-years and leads the firm’s Healthcare Investment Banking practice. Pat serves numerous community organizations including as a Circle of Care member of Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta and the Tocqueville Society of United Way of Greater Atlanta. He is Past President and Executive Board Member for Buckhead Baseball. Pat also serves on the Alumni Board for the Terry College of Business at the University of Georgia. The Stevens family has a deep passion for Peachtree Church and currently enjoys hosting small group Overflow sessions at their home.

AMY WHITE

Amy White is a native Atlantan and long-time member of Peachtree Presbyterian Church. She is a graduate of Vanderbilt University and has been happily married to Buzz for 49 years. They have two adult daughters, Jennifer (John Hocutt) and Molly (Lee Webb), and seven grandchildren.

In her professional life, Amy had a successful career at The Coca-Cola Company for 23 years where she became one of the company’s first female executives. In 2000, she co-founded and led a management consulting practice which provided leadership and business strategy services to Fortune 500 companies for 21 years.

Amy’s current and best chapter is focused on the joys of being a wife, mother, grandmother, friend, and volunteer. She has been a tutor for LaAmistad, a children’s Sunday School teacher, a Younique Coach, a long-time member and table leader for Thursday morning Women’s Bible Study, and a Mentor Mom for MOPS. She has also served on the Board of the Peachtree Trust, the Board of LEAD (now Orchard), and on the Elder Nominating Committee. Additionally, she and Buzz are committed members of Full Cup, Finishing Well, and The Last Supper Club. She is honored and excited to serve as a first-time elder.

LORETTA ZIMMERMANN

Loretta is originally from the Philadelphia area and graduated from Lehigh University. She has been married to Eric for 35 years and the proud mother of two adult daughters. Loretta has been committed to serving Wellspring Living and young girls who have been exploited for 16 years.

Additionally, she plays a leadership role in Friends in Faith Bible study and MOPS fostering community and spiritual growth among its members. She has also had the privilege to be a part of a Fuller Spiritual Formation Cohort in 2020 and traveled with Peachtree on mission trips to India, Bolivia, Jordan and Louisiana after hurricane Katrina.

Outside of her volunteer work, Loretta finds joy in tutoring students at Lake Forest Elementary School, hoping to make a positive impact on young minds. Her recreational activities include biking, cooking, gardening, bridge, pickleball and anything outdoors.

Loretta is honored and simultaneously humbled to serve on Peachtree's session for the third time.
