We are delighted to welcome you and your child to the Peace Lutheran College community. Our Prep Transition Program is designed to make the step into “big school” smooth, enjoyable, and confidence-building — for both children and parents — as we begin this exciting educational journey together.
Program Overview
When: Wednesdays
8:45am for a 9.00am start. Sessions aim to finish by 10:15 am Where: Prep Classrooms, enter via Harley Street, behind the Kindy

Important Information
Registration: Please complete the online form (link provided in your email) to confirm which sessions you will attend.
Peace Kindergarten Families: If your child attends Peace Kindergarten on Wednesdays, staff will escort them directly to Prep, - no need to collect them. Parents can head straight to the Prep classrooms for check-in.
What to Bring: A hat and water bottle each week. Children are encouraged to wear their special “Peace Big School” t-shirt, which you will receive in the coming week via post - a little surprise! If you are still finalising your enrolment with us, we will have a shirt for your child on the first day of transition.
What to Expect
Week 1 – Together Time
Parents and children enjoy a relaxed morning in the classroom with our Prep teachers.
Weeks 2–5 – Growing Independence
Children join their teachers for classroom activities, learning step by step what it means to be a Peace Prep student.
Parents are guided to their own information sessions nearby.
Parent Information Sessions Include
Helping your child learn to read Health & wellbeing tips for school life
Supporting motor skills development
Navigating school systems, uniforms and next steps.
