Everybody loves a show, especially students. The wonder, the joy, the sense of magic and imagination… a field trip to a student matinee at the Peace Center can be a life-changing day for them (and teachers, too!). We’re proud to continue the school tradition of introducing students to the singular experience of the performing arts.

Our student matinees delight and educate, each one geared toward specific grades. They’re shorter to accommodate developing attention spans, and they align with STEAM goals, offering plenty of educational opportunities for teachers and teams. You’ll also get complimentary study guides as part of your package to boost pre- and post-learning activities.

November 12-13, 2025 KRAAACK! KAPOW! SMASH! It’s the story of Frankenstein and his Monster told in a whole new way—comic book style, but in a live theater performance. When a young artist named Mary finds a mysterious journal belonging to a Dr. Frankenstein, the story unfolds onstage, panel by panel, mixing comic book illustrations and speech balloons with live actors. 👤 8+ (2nd & 3rd Grade) EDIT Environmental Studies, Language Arts, Science, Social/Emotional Learning, Theater

Your students get whisked away into the Merry Old Land of Oz quite literally in this interactive retelling of Dorothy’s story. It’s full-on audience participation as the cast pulls in students to perform 16 roles during the show, including a few dance numbers. Everyone sings, creates sound effects, and more! Journey to Oz is an excellent show for any budding performers in your classroom.

Middle grades and high school years bring specific challenges to young people—big feelings, big dreams, and self-discovery. This show presents private letters performed out loud— some hilarious, some heartfelt, some thoughtprovoking—but each one offering a moment of deep connection for anyone questioning their place in the world.

HYDE

February 25-26, 2026 It’s Jekyll & Hyde, but with a twist. PUSH Physical Theater incorporates acrobatics and athleticism into their thrilling theater performances created for high school students. Hyde explores Edward Hyde’s side of the story, questioning his need for fame, attention, and control–and what happens when he doesn’t get it. 👤 High School EDIT Movement, Storytelling

YELLOW BIRD CHASE April 20-21, 2026

A colorful, clownish maintenance crew stumbles its way into adventure when they chase a magical yellow bird into an exciting imaginative world. Or is it just a world of their own imaginations? Your students will love the characters’ enchanting nonsense language (think Minions) and their childlike mastery of play-pretend using everyday objects.

GRIMMZ FAIRY TALES March 4-5, 2026

Join dance-pop sensations Jay and Will Grimmz as they return to their hometown for a very special hip-hop concert. They’re known for their beats as well as spitting magical fables that weave into unforgettable rhymes. Hear some of their greatest hits like “Snow White and the Seven Shawties,” “Down with Rapunzel,” “Hansel & Gretel: Lost in the Streets,” and their featured first ‘Granny’-winning song, “Cinderella Remix”! Pay your bling, hear them sing.
