friends,
As we head into the holiday season, I wish you and your loved ones comfort and joy. Whether through family traditions, gatherings or quiet reflection, we hope you embrace the magic of winter in New England.
You may know the Peabody Essex Museum (PEM) for its awardwinning exhibitions and programs, but did you know the PEM Shop channels that same spirit of creativity and innovation? From thematic pop-up shops, to author signings and artist collaborations — and this holiday catalog — we are always finding new ways to surprise and delight.
All proceeds from the PEM Shop support our mission to offer enriching experiences of the arts, humanities and sciences. All items have been thoughtfully hand selected to make your holiday season one to remember.
In gratitude,

Every year we search the globe to find the most interesting items to showcase in the PEM Shop, and every year one stands out among the rest. This year it actually is a globe: an awe-inspiring product that uses cutting-edge augmented reality technology to transform a simple decorative item into an interactive and educational experience.
Simply download the free app and point your smartphone at the globe to see a real-time view of the Earth. Cloud shapes, rainfall, temperature, wind direction and other data are updated every hour. Flags of countries come to life, leading you to creatively explore world statistics. Delve into demographics and dates related to Sustainable Development Goals. Watch the ancient world come to life as dinosaurs rendered in gorgeous detail appear! A perfect present for young and old alike.
