Welcome to your new local newsletter
Welcome to the first edition of your new local newsletter. With 21 blocks, 586 homes and around 1,000 residents, Fish Island Village is a busy and ever evolving place and community.
This newsletter aims to keep you up to date with information on what’s happening on the estate and in your area. Here you'll find updates from resident association meetings, updates on maintenance, and key dates to remember.
You’ll also learn about fun activities and events, spotlights on your local Peabody team and neighbours, and tips about what support is available to you as a Fish Island Village resident
This newsletter doesn’t replace your usual communications around repairs, rent and other regular updates you would expect to receive from us. So, please continue to look out for these.
For daily information about your building and the wider area please also keep checking noticeboards around Fish Island Village. This is where you’ll find important information such as fire evacuation details, estate guidelines and cleaning schedules
Have your say
As a resident, your voice matters when it comes to what is included in future issues of this newsletter.

If you have two minutes to spare, please consider filling in the Resident Newsletter Survey
The results of the survey will be used to shape what the newsletter looks like, and the overall feedback will be shared in a future newsletter.

Brand new bollards
Fish Island Village Resident Association (FIVRA) have been consulting on the design of a new set of bollards, and this sample marks another milestone in getting these in place

Made of solid oak, which provides both an aesthetic and sturdy option for the development, FIVRA have now seen the sample in situ and given their approval for these necessary additions to be put in place
We have found a contractor to manufacture and install these bollards This process is currently underway, with everything set to be completed in the next few months.
Fans and vents
Our specialist contractor, Ecolution Group, who specialise in Mechanical Ventilation & Heat Recovery systems (MVHRs), should have recently been in touch with leaseholder tenants to arrange an inspection.
These inspections are still ongoing and we will know more about next steps once these have been completed
This process is progressing positively We have been discussing the issue with our joint venture partner and constructor of the scheme, Hill, and will be involving the manufacturer of the MVHR unit, Envirovent.
Small Business Forum

Improving your concierge service
Thank you to everyone who took part in the recent resident survey. Based on your feedback, we’ll be making some improvements to the concierge service These changes will take time, but we’ll keep you updated on the progress
In the short term, we’re reviewing the service with Kingdom, our current provider, and the Fish Island Village Resident Association (FIVRA) The goal is to improve the value of the current setup and contract with Kingdom.
For longer-term improvements, the procurement process for planning and purchasing services like this has already started. FIVRA will be involved throughout, as we aim to create a concierge service that better fits your needs.
