In unprecedented times the generosity of our supporters is the key to ensuring we can maintain our presence in communities and continue helping the young people who need us.

The incredible response to our appeals for support this year has continued to bolster our operations in communities around Queensland. Thank you to our legacy supporters, our regular supporters and our new supporters who have joined us in our mission to make positive changes in the lives of young people.

Cherished Gifts

PCYC Queensland is honoured to have received donations from a number of valued supporters through a gift in their will. We would like to recognise these incredibly generous acts as each donation leaves an incredible legacy for those who are gone, but who won’t be forgotten.

Containers for Change

In 2020 PCYC Queensland received funding from the Queensland Government Container Refund Scheme, empowering our organisation to access the state-wide container refund scheme to raise funds whilst making a positive impact on the environment.

Thanks to the support of the Queensland Government, 47 of our clubs are now equipped to collect and return containers from their club, members, and local communities. Since January 2021 our clubs have refunded over 42,000 eligible containers and we are excited to see thousands more recycled as we continue this initiative across the state.

You can support your local PCYC Queensland club by donating your eligible containers at collection points in the clubs, or by contacting your local club for their Containers for Change Scheme ID to use when you return your containers directly.

Workplace Givers

Thank you to the many QPS officers who have chosen to support PCYC Queensland through Workplace Giving this year, by making a regular donation from their pay to support the vital services we deliver.

The support we receive from these QPS members committed to giving back to the communities they serve in, powers our mission of building safer, healthier communities through youth development.

PCYC Lottery

The PCYC Lottery raises vital funds to support the programs and services we deliver while giving families, like the Traynor’s, the chance to win a dream prize.

Mischa Traynor started purchasing tickets in the PCYC Lottery in October 2020 knowing the impact our organisation has, having spent time at her local PCYC club growing up and seeing her husband serve in the Queensland Police Service. “As a kid I spent time at my local PCYC attending the school holiday program and loved every minute of it. Now, with my husband a member of the QPS, I understand the impact PCYC Queensland has at a local level for young people from all backgrounds. We buy PCYC Lottery tickets to give back to those working so hard to support young people. Thank you PCYC Queensland for all the amazing work you do.”

After just her third purchase, Mischa was drawn as the winner of a brand-new Toyota Corolla and $5,000 cash.

“Winning second prize in the PCYC Lottery will allow us to renovate our kitchen – a dream we have had since we moved into our home and one that will be incredible to see come true.”
