30mm CUBE® steel gratings - ideal for industrial projects The new CUBE® 30 grating programme offers steel gratings and planks.

The 30mm height combined with 1.5 mm thickness provides a much lighter product without compromising with strength making the product ideal for industrial projects where the EN-ISO-14122 standard is valid. In addition, the low weight combined with practical and modern design offers new opportunities for industrial projects where ordinary mesh gratings have been the traditional choice. CUBE 30 gratings can with great advantage replace mesh gratings with mesh sizes from 30mm up to 45mm.

The CUBE® 30 grating offers an excellent R12 slip-resistant surface designed with our Oyster feature. The new 30mm height allows the CUBE 30 grating to be used for any industrial project as either a replacement or to be installed together with ordinary mesh gratings.

The new CUBE® 30 grating offers an improved and simplistic design. It is a unique state-of-the-art product in the market, where no other grating type can deliver the same advantages and attributes when it comes to safety, weight, strength and not least the reasonable price level introduced. The unique design is characterized by modern look and HSR* curled flanges to provide the desired load capacity for industrial applications. The grating is designed with our newest Cube pattern and punched holes with Oyster design for the highest slip-resistance. The light-weight design supports our strategy for a greener way of working and is regarded as a more responsible choice.

Adaptable Strength The CUBE® 30 design allows for high flexibility in regards to strength. With the unlimited possibility to install bearing bars in the 30mm high grating, the gratings and planks are easily adaptable to strength criteria that is needed.

According to EN ISO 14122-2 the maximum deflection is 1 over 200 of the free span: Ls/200, and the deflection for the concentrated load, on the edge of the grating, must be maximum 4,0 mm compared to the adjacent flooring, to prevent tripping hazards.

Addressing a Growing Need In Zeewolde, a park was established to house labor migrants temporarily.

As the park underwent expansion, the plan encompassed the construction of four identical buildings. These structures required the installation of platforms and staircases between them, enabling residents to access their front doors conveniently.

The Innovative Solution In this context, PcP recommended the utilization of 30mm-high CUBE 30 gratings featuring the OYSTER serrated upward grip holes. These gratings do not only meet the required load-bearing standards but also allowed ample light transmission and featured an anti-slip profile to enhance safety.

This combination, coupled with competitive pricing and rapid delivery, convincingly led Staalbouw van Beek to adopt this solution.

Approximately 730 square meters of platforms were supplied using just four different grating sizes. The integration of standard B-CUBE® steps, sourced from our readily available stock, a cohesive and aesthetically pleasing result was achieved.
