Dear Friends in Christ,
As we reflect on the life of our church in 2025, the words Life Together rise naturally to the surface. This year has offered us many glimpses of how God forms us not merely as individuals of faith, but as a living, breathing community - rooted in Christ, sustained by God’s grace, and shaped through shared worship, service, learning, and joy. Again and again, we have seen how life in Christ is meant to be lived side by side, for the sake of one another and for the sake of the world God loves.

One of the defining movements of this year was our congregational visioning process with Leighton Ford Ministries. Through this season of prayerful listening, we sought to attend carefully to God’s leading and to one another’s voices. From that work emerged a renewed vision that reminds us that unity in Christ is not uniformity, but a shared life marked by trust in Jesus Christ, courage to serve others, and a commitment to love as we have first been loved.
We have seen Life Together expressed in tangible and beautiful ways: in the Home+Sted Project; in the launching of new small groups this fall; and in our youth mission trip to Chicago, alongside the confirmation of four young people publicly claiming their faith. We gathered around tables through Cookbook Club and women’s speaker luncheons, and on trails through our new Wilderness Ministry. We walked alongside one another through a grief support group, celebrated a record-breaking Rummage Sale and Big Five Drive, rejoiced in an overflowing Vacation Bible Adventure, and even shared fun together on a trip to see David Crowder in concert.
We also experience Life Together as we are sent outward in love—living not only as a gathered congregation, but as active partners in God’s mission. This takes shape through Little Lambs Preschool (and the new Summer Lambs program), through mission partners such as the Good Samaritan Mission, World Vision, Agros, and A Christian Ministry in the National Parks, as we serve

This year also held tender changes. We gave thanks for the faithful service of Ally Kiefer and Laura Huckin, and welcomed Tori Lund and Sarah Benko onto our staff team. We were nourished through special guest preachers, a renewed women’s retreat, and vibrant worship at PCJH.
All of this reminds us that Life Together is God’s gift - formed through ordinary faithfulness, sustained by the Holy Spirit, and offered for the sake of the world. Thank you for the many ways you continue to love the Lord and one another in the name of Jesus Christ. It is an honor to serve alongside you!

Worship is the heartbeat of our life together and lifts our eyes beyond ourselves to the majesty of God. We are committed to developing Spirit-filled, participatory worship that resonates with all generations. And we are expanding worship beyond Sunday mornings—through outdoor services, midweek gatherings, and digital offerings. We want worship at PCJH to reflect God’s excellence, draw people into His presence, and inspire transformation. The worship team is experimenting with changes to bring our Life Together mission into reality.
We made many changes to worship as part of our vision process... the chair arrangement in the sanctuary to reflect our Life Together mission around the Table, dimming the lights

In 2025 we had sermon series that included The Seven Deadly Sins, Meeting God in the Wilderness during Lent, a series called Life Together based on our PCJH Vision, Mission and Values. A series on Mary & Martha, It’s the End of the World As We Know It, and the book of Hebrews. We also celebrated the end of a half decade of committed service by Laura Huckin
in the position of Worship Coordinator. We welcomed Tori Lund into this new role. Tori is a professional Singer/Songwriter with extensive experience who is looking forward to rooting deeply in our community.
Our Mission of Life Together is not optional in the Christian life, but rather essential, and rooted in Christ, reaching out in love. Like the aspen groves whose root systems are intertwined, we are deeply connected in Christ. Our worship is Spirit filled and draws us into God’s presence and gives him glory.
As always, thank you for your faithful participation in worship at PCJH.

In our lives as Christians, we understand how powerful it is to gather together in unity. When we come together as a group, we are reflecting the love that Christ has for us to connect not just in worship but in fellowship, prayer, and community support. This unity inspires us to build each other up, share our burdens, and celebrate our victories. We can draw strength from one another and deepen our collective faith in Christ.
21 different Christmas Cookies
Exchanged amongst each other

In 2025, we experienced many occasions to lean on each other and … to just have some fun together!
A new favorite PCJH tradition is ‘Extending the Table’ which gathers folks for lunch each Communion Sunday at a local restaurant. We’ve done this 10 separate Sundays and have found this tradition gets a mix of congregants to sit at a table for a meal to offer encouragement and get to know each other.
A few other big moments were: Jumping on a bus in June to head to Idaho Falls and listen to David Crowder in concert; a June BBQ outside

that gathered folks to welcome the summer season; Cooking class led by our Wednesday Dinner Chef; Greening of the Church in November; a visit to the Hootenanny at the Center for the Arts in September; Our first Annual Christmas Cookie Exchange. And, of course, the multiple editions of the Cookbook Club and the countless recipes prepared and shared of cuisine from around the world!
The essence of gathering is love. It is through love that we foster genuine relationships with our neighbors and fellow believers. When we gather in love. We reflect the heart of Jesus in how He invites us into the community. We are called to love one another deeply, understanding that these connections are a fundamental aspect of our faith journey.
Come join us in ‘26 as we gather in Jesus name!

This year our youth ministries were vibrant! With a combination of students who have been attending youth programs here for a while and newcomers, all were made part of the PCJH True North family. Our middle school ministry, Breakfast Club, averaged at 20 students each week. This made our mornings together full of energy and small group times filled with a variety of perspectives and ideas.
During the summer we held our annual service week, focused on local missions. Our first-ever all-girls group crushed it in the heat of July!
Our high schoolers completed a mission trip to Chicago! These students (another all-girls group) served a brand new community, as well as each other through this unique experience that will impact all for years to come.
We focused on Service and mission this fall with the help of our short-term intern. This helped bring our weekly lessons about God to life, as we practiced loving our neighbors together as a youth group.

Between our Sunday school group, Middle School Breakfast Club, and High School monthly breakfast and bible study, our students here at PCJH are engaged in meaningful ways while balancing everyday life. They are supported by volunteers, staff, and a caring congregation for whom we are so grateful! We pray that students continue to feel that this is a place where they belong, can be themselves, engage with Jesus, and invite others to be a part of doing life together!

Ascent continues to be a welcoming, inclusive community for people in their 20s and 30s who are looking for meaningful relationships and space to explore faith together. While friendships naturally form, what truly brings us together is a shared curiosity about God. We love that our group includes lifelong Christians, those newer to faith, people new to PCJH, and others who are simply searching. That mix is what makes our conversations thoughtful, honest, and rich.
Over the winter and spring, we gathered on Sunday nights for Bible study, creating a steady rhythm of learning and connection. As the weather warmed, we shifted outdoors, meeting weekly for hikes and finding simple ways to spend time together, often around good food and shared tables. In the fall, we were grateful to welcome an intern who partnered with Ascent in local service opportunities. Her presence helped us engage our

community in new ways and sparked excitement for expanding our mission work in the coming year, grounded in a desire to serve as Christ first served us.
Several Ascent members also joined an intergenerational small group as part of the churchwide study of Hebrews. As that study came to a close, the Ascent committee was busy planning our biannual Encounter Storytelling event which took place in December.
Looking ahead to 2026, we are excited to restart our regular Bible study and continue building on the momentum of this past year. We welcomed many new faces and saw deeper relationships form among longtime participants. We pray that God continues to bring people through our doors who need a place to belong, and that He renews our energy and faith as we follow Jesus together into another year.

Throughout this year, the Deacon Ministry at PCJH faithfully embodied Christ’s compassion through presence, prayer, and practical care. Deacons walked alongside individuals and families during seasons of illness, grief, transition, and joy— offering hospital and home visits, meal trains, cards and flowers, rides to medical appointments and the airport, communion, and quiet pastoral support.
A defining moment of the year was the Deacon Retreat, where the team prayerfully reflected on their calling and discerned a renewed focus on relational ministry, visibility, and consistent connection. From this retreat emerged clear priorities: strengthening systems of care, equipping deacons for pastoral encounters, and ensuring that care extends beyond moments of crisis into ongoing relationship.
Throughout the year, deacons implemented hospital visitation training, clarified care and communication practices, reactivated the Deacon email with rotating coverage, and increased visibility through Deacon Sunday and congregational communication. In addition, the Deacons supported and helped facilitate GriefShare, a 13-week grief support group, offering a consistent and compassionate space for those walking through loss.
Most significantly, the Deacons prepared for and launched the Flock Model of Care, assigning each household a specific Deacon for regular prayerful contact and outreach. This model reflects PCJH’s commitment to Life Together—rooted in Christ and reaching out in love—by ensuring every member has a known and trusted point of connection.

What a fantastic year it was for Wilderness Together! Our mission is simple: to connect with God and our community through the beauty of outdoor recreation. As we look back on our 2025 season, the memories are as inspiring as this place we are blessed to call home. Our summer kicked off with a splash during our “Go Fish” Fly Fishing Series. Inspired by Psalm 98, we practiced our casting and watched the rivers “clap their hands” in joy. We transitioned from water to woods with a

tranquil hike through the LSR Preserve to Phelps Lake, where the stillness of Psalm 23 allowed us to find peace by connecting with God through prayer and reflection.
Creativity bloomed during our Wildflower Walk at Blacktail Butte.
Following the call from Matthew 6 to “consider the wildflowers,” we used sketching and nature journaling to truly appreciate the joys of His creation. For those seeking serenity, our “Paddle and
Pray” on String Lake offered a sacred space for centering prayer under the evening sky.
For the explorers, we tackled the heights! From the deep reflections on the Jackson Peak summit to the rigorous, 20-mile endurance test of the Cascade to Paintbrush Loop, we finished these treks physically exhausted but spiritually full. We also enjoyed an exceptional “Walk and Talk” at Buffalo Valley Ranch, learning how the Young family weaves faith and stewardship into their daily legacy.
Whether we were enjoying the tranquility of a still lake, or summitting a high peak, God met us at every step. We would love for you to be part of the adventure in 2026!

Many of you serve in our children’s ministry at PCJH and we are so thankful for your dedication to further the spiritual development of our kids!
It’s such a joy to witness families coming together, offering each other support and encouragement as we guide our children in their journey to find and follow Jesus. As we look to the year ahead, we’re excited to change some of our programs to meet the needs of our families.
We consistently see God’s love witnessed by both kids and parents when they pick up their kids from the nursery! In our nursery-5th grade Sunday morning programs we have around 30-40 kids. There is so much gratitude for our volunteers who help teach the Kid’s Church lessons on Sundays. So many adults and teens also help during Parents Night Out by leading games, leading bible lessons, and teaching art lessons.
In the spring, Milestone Sunday acts as a concrete map of hoped-for faith development that recognizes each child’s commitment to God and the church’s involvement in the lives of kids.

Vacation Bible Adventure Camp (VBA) this past summer had over 68 participants from our community during our week long program.
The Fun Club, our Wednesday after school program, returned this fall for kids in kindergarten through 5th grade. They participate in reading a weekly devotional, help with service projects in our community, go on field trips, and visit members of our church.
The parents were able to get together for fellowship for dinner and social activities. Some of the moms were able to meet for a book club, the dad met for Dad’s and Drafts, and there were many opportunities for fellowship throughout the year.
In December we are always thrilled to have kids of all ages participate in the fabulous MixedUp Christmas Pageant. The music, acting, and costume design allows the kids and parents to celebrate the birth of Jesus in such a memorable way!
Finally, our preschool, Little Lambs, helps kids in our community with academics and spiritual growth. There was an addition to the Little Lambs Preschool this past year! Summer Lambs started in June of 2025 will continue to provide preschool to the kids in our community during the busy summer months.

uch like a utility baseball player who consistently gets on base and fields the grounders, the PCJH Front Office strived to serve our congregation in 2025 in the ways that are often behind the scenes but necessary. From organizing Scripture readers, to sending out weekly Peak of the Week emails, to keeping our building maintained and in good working order, our Front Office team helps keep the diverse workings of the church moving ever forward.
This year, we also had a major Front Office transition with Ally Kiefer stepping down in August. Since then, we have been honored to welcome part-time Front Office Admin Sarah Benko and Interim Communications Director Beth Ricciardi to carry on. Sarah serves in the daily workings of the Front Office. Beth has increased her role at PCJH by preparing Peak at the Week emails, generating service slides, and finding new ways to shine a light on the ministries of PCJH. A few notable highlights from 2025.

The highlight accomplishment of the year was conversion of the frequently flickering fluorescent lights to LED in August. Two incentives drove the decision to convert the Sanctuary, Hayden Hall, and Genesis Room lights. First was the periodic need to maintain the lights and rent a lift to do so. The second was a double incentive from Lower Valley and Energy Conservation Works. The conversion eliminates flickering lights, lift rental costs, and staff time for maintenance. It also reduces energy consumption and eliminates bulb disposal costs (fluorescent bulbs contain hazardous gas).

• Selling the land PCJH owns on High School Butte to a buyer who will continue to allow public access.
• Developing a program to sell up to four townhomes to be offered first to the congregation and then to the public.
• The Task Force is planning on groundbreaking for seven townhomes in early March. Once additional funding is in place, we plan to start the remaining three townhomes and the fellowship cabin as soon as possible.
“My people will live in peaceful dwelling places, in secure homes, in undisturbed places of rest.” ~ Isaiah 32:18

Through our budgeting process we have carefully allocated resources across departments to ensure we are funded for the ministry and mission to which God has called us through PCJH.
• We have no debt, a balanced budget, and funding for ongoing and future ministry.
• We have continued planning for an Employee Housing project, with capitalized costs to date of $2,038,086. Funding for the project has been from donor restricted gifts, not from the annual budget. Funds collected for the housing project but not yet spent, roughly $3,800,000 as of year-end, are currently invested in short term fixed income investments.
• We started a rainy-day fund nine years ago to ensure that our ministry and mission continue despite unforeseen crises. We have saved $470,923 with a goal of about six months of covered operating expenses.

• Two years ago, we reestablished funding to the roof reserve of $10,000 / year from the annual budget; the current balance is $40,125.
• By God’s grace--and yours--our tithes and offerings for 2025 exceeded our operating goal by $64,000, mostly due to a surge in offerings near year end. However, our net operating expenses for the year were about 4.8% over budget. Taken together, we ended the year with a $44,159 operating deficit.
• Investments in the PCJH Endowment Fund gained 15% in 2025, increasing in value to $307,235.
• Our goal is to continue to have the financial strength to do whatever ministry the Lord calls us to do to see lives being transformed in Jesus Christ.
