We include historic architecture, scenic boat trips, and some authentic Italian tasting experiences, from our base by Lake Garda. TUESDAY An early morning departure as we travel to Dover and board a lunchtime ferry to Calais. We continue into Germany for bed and breakfast accommodation in the Saarbrücken area. WEDNESDAY We travel from Saarbrücken to the northern tip of Lake Garda in the Trentino region of Italy, for our ve night stay at Hotel Villa Rosa. THURSDAY Today we take a scenic drive with our guide along the eastern shore of Lake Garda, through the charming towns of Bardolino, Lazise and Garda. We then take a boat ride to the picturesque little town of Sirmione, set on a peninsular on the southern tip of the lake. Explore the quaint narrow streets, and perhaps visit the Grottoes of Catullo (entrance fee applies). Our nal stop of the day is a visit to a traditional olive oil mill to discover the secrets of this Mediterranean staple, including a tasting. FRIDAY Under the wing of our guide, today we rst journey to Verona; the second Roman settlement in Italy, evident once we

see the Colosseum-esque Roman amphitheatre that dominates the Piazza Brà. Juliet's house with its famous balcony is also a stone's throw from the main square; we are sure that Shakespeare's much-loved city will also capture your heart. Onwards then, to Valpolicella, the region known for its excellent red wine. We have the opportunity to sample a wonderfully rich, red Amarone wine with a snack, during a visit to a local producer's wine cellar.

SATURDAY A day at leisure, with both the lake and the village just a short walk away. SUNDAY With an early start, we travel to Venice, where we transfer by boat to the centre of this unique and compact city, built on 118 islands and connected by over 400

bridges. During our morning walking tour, our guide brings the city to life as we discover St Mark's Square, St Mark's Basilica, the lavish Doge's Palace (all external viewings only), and the famous Bridge of Sighs. Time at leisure in the afternoon to uncover all of the hidden cobbled alleyways, pretty bridges, the network of canals occupied by the ubiquitous gondolas, and perhaps shop for some of the unique crafts and souvenirs available in this romantic and enchanting city.

MONDAY After breakfast we start our journey back into Germany for overnight dinner, bed and breakfast accommodation in the Saarbrücken area. TUESDAY We make our way to Calais where we board the ferry to Dover, and continue homeward.

N.B. This holiday involves various walking tours, some on uneven surfaces, so a certain degree of mobility is required.

Full cancellation charges will apply and PC Coach Holidays will be under no obligation for any refund, compensation or loss, which you may incur. 13. Failing this you must notify us in writing within fourteen days of you return.

HOLIDAY INSURANCE We believe that taking out a holiday insurance policy, albeit not necessarily the policy which we offer, is a very important part of your travel plans. Have you considered that falling ill, suffering injury following an accident or even being unexpectedly called up for jury service is not dependent on where you are planning to travel? If you have to cancel your trip and we cannot transfer your booking, we may be forced to apply our published scale of cancellation charges. Also, if you are travelling inside the UK and you're unlucky enough to be admitted to hospital during your trip and can't make your return journey, the NHS does not cover additional accommodation, travel or repatriation costs. Unexpected costs such as these can add up, even if a close friend or relative can bring you home. Likewise, if you're travelling abroad, you're probably aware that medical and associated costs can prove expensive. The European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) is a reciprocal health agreement and is not a substitute holiday insurance policy. It does not cover additional accommodation, travel or repatriation costs. A holiday insurance policy is available for passengers travelling on our holidays.
