Ground-floor rooms feature sliding doors that open to the poolside patio, providing direct views of the resort’s main pool. Social spaces like meeting rooms and the lobby area received a similar refresh. ince opening in 1987, the Marriott Hutchinson Island Beach Resort has made its way into the heart of the Treasure Coast community. Perched on 200 acres between the Atlantic Ocean and the Intracoastal Waterway, the property—one of the largest coastal resorts in the area—is known for its ideal location and incredible views. So when it came time to reimagine the Marriott property, it wasn’t a transformation that longtime general manager Candice Miller took lightly. This past summer, the result of that reimagination was unveiled, a project that included updates to 200 guest rooms and suites inside the main resort tower, social spaces, and the addition of some exciting new amenities. In the guest rooms and suites, the goal was to bring the coastal/tropical vibe of the resort’s environs indoors. Says Miller: “We thoughtfully designed the reimagination around
