OBITUARY

Jemal David Fowler, 53, passed away unexpectedly at his home in Roxbury, Massachusetts, on July 26, 2025. Jemal was the beloved son of Jean G. Fowler and the late Bill Scott. He is survived by his loving mother; brother, Jason L. Fowler; and sister, Unieca D. Scott.

Born on August 19, 1971, in Los Angeles, California, Jemal moved to Boston to be near family, where he attended High School. He graduated from Roxbury Community College and Suffolk University in Boston.

As a long-time resident of Boston, he was employed at Logan International Airport, Hanscom Air Force Base, The Broad Institute, and most recently, Boston TD Garden.

In his personal life, Jemal was a private man who loved his family, traveling, and the brand Polo Sport. He was fond of dancing and music, especially the Motown sound and early Hip Hop.

Along with his mother, brother, and sister, Mr. Fowler is survived and will be deeply missed by many family members, including cousins, nieces, nephews, and godchildren, in addition to the many dear friends whose lives he enriched.
