Lifelong Battle With Weight is Finally Won !!

Mum of two, Ellen, has always struggled with her weight. From being an overweight toddler to an adult who still couldn’t find a healthy way to be a healthy adult! Now two stone lighter, she feels amazing and can’t wait for a slimmer life ahead.

Ellen always felt as if she was never quite good enough, to buy nice clothes, go out with friends, to be the life and soul of the party. Bad habits had crept in over the years, takeaways 3 times a week, family sized chocolate bars all to herself, then no energy to even think about excercise.

She was the most overweight she had ever been after having her second child, the weight she put on in between pregnancies just never went away and more crept on. She started to avoid going out and seeing friends and family, avoiding doing anything fun or different. Becoming frustrated with herself for not being able to lose the weight in a way that worked forever and had to accept that “this was it” She joined Slimming World in May 2015 with her brother in law, so it wasn’t daunting going alone. Though she needn’t have worried, the consultant was so welcoming and non-judgemental, no humiliation as her weight is always confidential and everyone in the group was so friendly and supportive that she quickly felt like it was definitely the right decision. She now can’t wait for invitations to go out with friends and loves wearing her fashionable, slinky clothes all the time. It has given her the confidence to join a local yoga class and take up running and swimming again.

“Ellen loves Slimming World because she can eat unlimited foods and knowing her family can enjoy it too, (because she makes it) it is too generous to be called a diet as she still enjoys that big Sunday Roast with a glass of wine, and her family favorite, Chicken Nuggets & Chips”
