Vistabule Teardrop and Tow Vehicle for Sale
Take this opportunity to purchase a gently used Vistabule teardrop trailer and Subaru Outback tow vehicle in excellent condition. We bought the Vistabule for its elegant, space efficient design, robust construction, ease of use and low operating cost. One of the other “features” of the Vistabule is that you become family and our experience with the builder for after sales support has been very positive and the owners group on Facebook very useful – it’s a great community.
We love this trailer but with retirement looming we have plans to travel much more extensively and are moving to something a little bigger with a bathroom. Our new trailer requires a pickup truck so we are offering this as a package but are willing to split them up if needed.
No waiting (build time on new trailers is up to six months), very little to do to have a ready to roll. We will walk you through everything you need to know about using this rig.

Chassis / Body
• Aluminum frame (100 lbs lighter than the steel standard frame)
• Dexter “off road” axle (2 inches extra lift). Axle was replaced in August 2023 under warranty.
• New Goodyear Endurance tires (August 2023)
• Electric trailer brakes
• Teksonsha Prodigy wireless proportional brake controller (receiver on trailer / controller in car
• 3M rockguard on lower front cabin and fronts of fenders.
• 11 pound propane cylinder – since the trailer sips gas we rarely refill and have never found the need for a larger cylinder.
Galley
• Dometic two burner gas stove with glass lid and electric ignition.
• Dometic 1.1 ft3 cooler fridge (runs on 12 V or shore power) – very efficient.
• Water system including sink, 9 gallon water tank with 12V pump and 6 gallon gray water tank
• Bat wings (shelter the galley from wind and rain), matching curtains in trailer
• Under sink shelving (removable) and improved paper towel rack.
Solar / Electric
• 2 built in rooftop sunflare solar panels (total of 140 watts)
• ZAMP suitcase style plug in solar panel (100 watts)
Comfort
• Air conditioner (built in)
• Propex 2000 gas furnace (and thermostat) as well as CO detector.
Convenience
• Tongue box (great for messy / wet items
• Yakima roof rack (ideal for securing awnings, tarps or clothes lines to) – we have never used it for carrying anything. It is no longer sold as an option for the trailer.

This was purchased new in May 2019 for the purpose of a family vehicle and being our trailer tow vehicle since Sept 2019.
65,000 km (40,500 miles)
Purchased new in May 2019. Only dealer serviced – we have all the service records.
Six cylinder boxer engine. Powerful and smooth. Note also this is the last year Subaru made the Outback with the six cylinder engine and this has a beefier electronic automatic transmission compared with the smaller CVT transmissions used in the 4 cylinder outbacks.
Tan leather interior. Rubber floor matts
Towing limit is 2700 lbs – It pulls the Vistabule very easily.
New 4 season Goodyear Tires on original aluminum rims and Michelin X-Ice 3 winter tires on steel rims.
New rear struts- July 2024.
Towing kit including the receiver, electrical and hitch for the Vistabule (correct height and ball).
EXTRAS
As we are moving to a pickup for our next tow vehicle there are some things that we purchased for our Vistabule camping rig that we can include in this package:
• Yakima Rocket Box – aerodynamic, easy to attach and remove, latches and locks on either side.
• Yakima / Road Shower 4 (7 gallon aluminum solar shower) with wrench. Large awning with poles.
• Large framed awning to cover the galley.
