Generally, most of us will have three sets of molars on upper and lower jaw on either side of the mouth, making a total of 12. In the late teens or early twenties, two sets of third molars namely, wisdom teeth grow at the end of the jawline next to the existing molars. In most of the cases the wisdom teeth, having no space to develop, cause problems resulting in their removal. Not all will get the complete set of wisdom teeth, while some may get only two, some luckily will not get any one of them. When Should You Have Your Wisdom Teeth Removed? If your wisdom teeth are positioned correctly in your jaw and do not cause any pain, it is not necessary to remove them. But if they are impacted or cause pain or crowing of teeth, your dentist would recommend you to remove them. Wisdom teeth removal cost is also affordable, and it is a safe procedure. There are two ways a wisdom tooth usually grows: 1. Grow As Regular Teeth: If there is sufficient space in your mouth, the wisdom teeth grow normally like any other teeth.
