Paul Kwan recently served as the Regional Chief Information Officer at Maybank Kim Eng (April 15 – April 17).

He implemented a new regional trading platform (Fidessa) for Institutional Equities to enhance business functionalities for clients (e.g., IOI and Algo) and improve productivity through STP.

Paul Kwan is the CEO & Founder of Sunideas. He started his own firm in 2017. The firm focuses on information technology innovation.

Paul Kwan started his professional career in March 1990. He served as a UNIX Software Analyst, Software Environments.

He provided UNIX technical support to the trading floor and internal users and implemented and administered numerous UNIX systems, e.g., Sun, IBM, HP, DG, SCO, and Pyramid.

Following this, he served as a Network Specialist, Network Development. He administered and supported the network and also assisted in migrating mainframes (IBM and Tandem) and applications to TCP/IP.
