Founded in 2008 Aragon Security Group is a security company specializing in turnkey security solutions for today’s demanding security industry.

Aragon Security’s primary focus lies with our clients. For our clients we design and implement customised security solutions based on our assessment of current security threats. These threats are minimized by our implementation of security manpower, security equipment upgrades and security management of processes to ensure optimized safety standards at all times.

We understand the critical role that a Security Officer plays in the overall successful maintenance of a facility and the business. Therefore, we are devoted to hiring employees who are capable and dedicated individuals. We try our utmost to place officers according to the job description. Aragon Group going forward intends to skill all their security officer personnel with First Aid Skills and mandatory qualification for every supervisor on site is to have a safety Officer certificate.

ON-SITE TRAINING

Security Officers are selected and trained in advance as to the Specific duties related to that site. Aragon Group Security Services management team are also accredited security officers with both A & B Grade, clients can be assured that the best training is given to the selected candidates. However, as security procedures may become monotonous over a prolonged period, on-site training will be conducted to re-fresh the Officer in the continued performance of his/hers duties a s per job description.

VEHICLES/SUPERVISION

Maximum emphasis is placed on supervision. All Security Officers working long hours and doing routine work, requires constant and expert supervision to ensure maximum alertness and effectiveness. To ensure this, 24hr supervision is provided along with daily site visits from our dedicated management team.

Q - What is your experience in providing security services for similar organizations or industries?

A - Being a privately owned security service provider since 2008 we have built many solid relationships and have partnered with a variety of industries. We’ve been fortunate and obtained a vast amount of experience in various scenarios such hospitality, residential, commercial, corporate, industrial and mining properties.

Although Aragon Group has been in business for just over 15 years, we’ve been servicing the hospitality market for just over eight years.

We’ve adapted our approach to secure the properties of our clients to the best of our ability at competitive rates. We adapted to deter various types of threats, be it criminal activity, workplace violence, business interruption, property loss or damage, public disorder, domestic disputes, or alike.

In today’s world, hotel groups face a huge challenge in meeting their responsibility to provide a safe and secure facility for their employees, guests, residents, and others looking to enjoy their experience due to not necessarily being able to control who makes use of the facilities.

Our more hands on approach most definitely sets us apart from the rest, our staff have the necessary support structure with well-trained supervisors and managers that can offer the necessary support required in order for the officers to resolve issued that may arise therefore, we are able and confident that we can meet and exceed your needs on a day-today basis striving to serve and protect our clients.

Q – What is the range of services you offer, for example, do you provide physical security or cyber or both?

A - Aragon group has the following solutions or services available, although many subdivisions form part of the undermentioned services

• A 24-hour guarding division; Our trained officers are deployed to these industries include below but are not limited to; corporate, commercial real estate, manufacturing, industrial, special events, construction, hospitality groups, residential estates, and privately owned dwellings.

• Technical Division; Providing access control solutions, CCTV, off-site monitoring, alarm systems, electric fencing, COC certifications, access control scanners, live and real-time guard patrol monitoring, WhatsApp notifications of current events and or emergencies, and more.

• Armed Response; although armed response is not our core focus we offer the service however, we recommend outsourcing the service to a separate entity as this is a fail over protocol. With various elements that come into play, vehicles cannot always get to a scene as rapidly as desired. A secondary service provider is and will always be recommended it comes down to vehicle who responds first. Both response service providers will have ease of mind that support is on route.

How do you ensure that your employees are qualified and have undergone proper background checks?

Our employment screening includes a thorough interview process, a complete background check, an honesty and drug profile, a criminal history, and a fingerprint check (police clearance). investigation of all certifications is completed through the compliancy regulatory per each individual deployed.

What is your response time in case of an emergency?

A – Aragon Group will outsource the most reliable armed response within the dedicated areas. Our dedicated 24-hour area manager/supervisor will respond to any situation or emergency in approximately five minutes depending on various elements.

Q – How do you ensure that your security personnel are trained and are up to date on the latest security threats and technology?

A – Our managers participate in the weekly CPF meetings within our dedicated areas, whereby we learn and focus on the latest day-to-day crime statistics and trends. Aragon group further has weekly operational meetings with all our area managers in debriefing and training to eliminate and prevent threats to our clients and their property. In addition to assigning attentive supervisors, we set ourselves apart by deploying our exclusive team of highly trained field supervisors who will visit your site, evaluate all our staff performance to ensure compliance with procedures, and provide coaching and even additional training to each security personnel to keep our teams up to date on the latest risks and or threats.

Q – What kind of technology do you use to monitor and track security incidents?

A – We utilize the latest technology to ensure live and accurate reporting is conducted that provides evidence should it be needed as well as assist in storing and archiving is done in compliance with the POPIA act.

We Recommend:

• The Guardtek Trackforce patrolling and reporting device is a state-of-the-art, on-the-go, web-based / app-based security officer management system. The system's capability allows us to provide our clients with the following in real-time: Security Officer Operations, incident reporting, panic button options, patrol mapping, equipment inspections, handover reports and any other report that may be required, the devise can be used as an electronic OB however, this is not recommended as it will limit various other functions many other functions can be added as required.

• The device allows for live monitoring of the patrols performed by the security officers.

• The patrols can be set up to allow for security officers to report back on areas during the patrol such as monitoring of refuse areas, monitoring of the clubhouse, and whether the clubhouse is locked and secured during the evenings. The patrol will include a report with images taken of the areas in question.

• The device allows for daily equipment handover functionality reports to be implemented and conducted every shift change. This will allow for daily feedback and monitoring of equipment functionality.

• The device allows for WhatsApp communication from clients and residents to the security officers on duty.

• The device is a cell phone and will be the guardroom contact number. Each Gatehouse will have its own device.

• The device allows for incident reporting. The incident reports are compiled and emailed on a daily basis. This allows for fining to be implemented and done on a timely basis. The incident reports include the time, date, and location of the incident, which officer attended the incident, and the outcome of the incident. The incident reports include images of the incident that would have transpired.

• The device is set up to allow for site-specific procedures and SOPs to be implemented on reporting and feedback. This will allow for accurate reporting and management of the officers and equipment.

• Reports are customizable to site-specific needs or client requirements.

In addition to the above, we offer at an additional cost the following:

• Off-site monitoring

• Behavioural detection (Artificial Intelligence)

• Blacklisting of a person, which is detected through facial and number plate recognition, in line with an up-to-date blacklist of all personnel and vehicles that will automatically trigger an alert, should one or both gain access to the property.

• Specific cameras can be utilized to monitor these occurrences to reduce costs.

Q – What is your approach to risk assessment and mitigation?

A – Our approach would be as follows:

1. Identify the risk - Whereby we identify potential events and event sequences where risk is presented. Risks can be in the form of existing vulnerabilities in the organization or known threats.

2. Perform a risk assessment - Find the quantitative risk of each event by weighting its potential impact and its likelihood of it accruing.

3. Prioritise – Once the risk assessment has been completed, we rank the potential risks from most severe to least. Areas with the lowest level of acceptable risk should be the priority.

4. Track risks – If a risk can be followed, keep track of it and the threat it poses.

5. Implement and monitor progress – Once your mitigation plan is in place, continue to monitor how it is working and perform tests to ensure the plan is up to date. If risk priorities change, make sure your plan reflects that.

6. Most importantly, clients should be informed of these risks and they too need to participate in mitigating / deterring risk.

What is your approach to collaboration with other security providers and other law enforcement agencies?

A – Aragon group participates in the weekly CPF meetings within our dedicated areas. Community members and other private security stakeholders are invited to attend such on a regular basis, attending these meetings allow us to form a partnership with the community, law enforcement, and other security stakeholders. This ensures a safe living and working environment for the public, it closes the gap between the police, the community, and other security stakeholders by establishing a working relationship and deep engagement between us all. Aragon has a reputation amongst various companies where partnerships and collaboration has been formed.

Q – Uniforms worn can be chosen by the client?

A – Aragon group has various uniform options according to industry requirements. At our hotels currently, we have a formal suit and tie. Should the clients wish to personalize the attire to synchronize with their scheme, this can be arranged However, we do advise our clients that should their request fall out of our uniform range, additional costs may occur, material types need to be carefully considered as material can be discontinued which will result in uniform inconsistency.
