Our month-long PRIDE celebration was a colorful display of love and support. Here are some of the activities we did:

First, we served a delicious rainbow cake to our team members, and we set up a colorful photo wall, allowing everyone to capture and share moments of pride.

Second, our team members brought a special coloring wall to life, beautifully illustrating our support for the LGBTQIA+ community. These colorful masterpieces adorned our town hall stage, creating a stunning decor accent that radiated inclusivity.

Lastly, our Q1 Townhall was a rainbow-filled celebration; we honored milestones, achievements, birthdays, new team members, participated in fun games, and had the awarding of our Q1 exemplary Heartists.

Special thanks to our Culinary Team for successfully hosting this quarter's celebration with true pride. They even made sure that the dishes served were a feast of colors!

WELLNESS SESSION

APRIL

FOCUSING ON HEARTIST HEALTH & WELL-BEING

This year ’ s fourth session of Wellness Activity is HighIntensity Interval Training (HIIT), which proved to be an exhilarating experience for participants. The program included a dynamic mix of exercises, combining strength training, cardio, and endurance drills, that left the participants feeling accomplished, energized, and motivated.

After a month of hiatus to give way to the highly anticipated Sportsfest, the High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) program made a return on June 26, 2024, with a legfocused workout.

EASTER INTERNATIONAL FUN AT WORK DAY

We started the quarter with a double dose of fun! On April 1, we celebrated both Easter and International Fun at Work Day by transforming our workplace into a hub of joy and excitement. The day was filled with egg-citing mini games that ignited fun in every inch of our workplace.

But why stop there? To keep the fun going, we ’ ve stocked the Heartist Lounge with a variety of board and table games, ensuring our employees have endless opportunities to play and enjoy.

We are proud to create an environment where fun and work coexist.

On May 6, 2024, we successfully launched our first Sportsfest with an exciting basketball and volleyball tournament.

This year ’ s competing teams are:

1. Widus and Casino F&B

2. Hotel F&B

3. Heart of House and Rooms Division

4. Culinary

During the opening event, the teams paraded their colors, each led by their beautiful muses. The teams proudly raised their banners, and the ceremonial oath of sportsmanship was taken, setting a tone of respect and fair play for the games to come. This marks the beginning of what promises to be an unforgettable event.

After eight thrilling matches in a single roundrobin format, we concluded the tournament on May 22, 2024. Widus and Casino F&B bagged the basketball championship with a series of impressive wins. The Hotel F&B secured the first runner-up spot, while Culinary and HOH & Rooms Division rounded out the top positions.

Jerom Lintag’ s exceptional play earned him the MVP title, highlighting his crucial role in leading his team to success. While Yves Sicat of F&B Hotel, Marvin Tiglao of Culinary, Harold Blanco of HOH & Rooms Division, Kim Tan, and Whesley Ignacio of Widus and Casino F&B were part of the Mythical 5, each of whom demonstrated extraordinary skill.

In the volleyball tournament, Hotel F&B rose to victory, displaying unmatched teamwork and skill. HOH & Rooms Division put up a strong fight, securing the first runner-up position, while Culinary and Widus and Casino F&B earned the second and third places, respectively.

Kris Kim's superb performance throughout the tournament earned him the well-deserved title of MVP.

Another win from the F&B Hotel team is Nerien Quirante, who has been awarded as the best muse of the tournament.

We extend our gratitude and congratulations to everyone who participated in making our 2024 Sportsfest an incredible event! Your enthusiasm has truly made this event a highlight of the year.

We are glad to announce that we have successfully reached 87% completion of the Department of Tourism's Filipino Brand of Service Excellence training. This achievement is a major step forward in our preparations for the successful MICE Conference held in July 2024 at the Clark Freeport Zone.

The Filipino Brand of Service Excellence training is designed to enhance the skills and knowledge of our team, ensuring that we provide exceptional service that reflects the warmth, hospitality, and professionalism that the Philippines is known for.

A huge thanks to the Department of Tourism for providing and equipping the hospitality industry with such training.

Our Heartists, Dennis Dungca, Whesley Ignacio, Maria Jordan, and Isaiah Gen Rebuyas, had the incredible pleasure of participating in the "Introduction to Tea Inspiration and the Tea-Inspired Guest Experience" seminar hosted by the Dilmah School of Tea on June 21, 2024. This enriching event provided our team with valuable insights into the world of tea, exploring its rich history, diverse flavors, and the art of creating memorable tea-inspired experiences for our guests.

One of the highlights was the on-the-spot mocktail mixing competition, where our very own F&B supervisor, Whesley Ignacio, emerged as the winner, showcasing his creativity and expertise by using tea syrups innovatively.

We are proud and grateful for the opportunity to attend seminars that enhance our skills and our guest experiences.

Our Heartists from the Housekeeping Team recently had the privilege of attending a series of comprehensive training sessions conducted by Diversey, a global leader in hygiene and cleaning solutions. These sessions provided our

team with invaluable insights and hands-on experience in the latest techniques and best practices in housekeeping.

On June 24, 2024, Dominga Timbol from the Laundry Team delved into the intricate world of laundry care. The workshop focused on advanced techniques for treating various types of stains and maintaining the freshness and quality of fabrics. This knowledge is crucial for extending the life of our fabrics and providing guests with impeccably clean and fresh laundry.

June 25, 2024

On June 25, 2024, Diversey conducted another training, this time focusing on Public Area, wherein our Heartists, Harold Blanco, Russell Paras, and Elysse Enriquez attended.

The workshop covered a broad range of topics, from efficient cleaning routines and safety protocols to creating welcoming and hygienic environments in all public areas. Our team was trained in the latest industry standards and innovative solutions that help transform spaces into pristine, inviting areas that enhance the overall guest experience.

We look forward to seeing the positive impact of these sessions reflected in the quality of service we offer to our guests every day.

CEREMONIAL HANDOVER

Our F&B Team successfully raised a total of PHP 84,457.75 during their "Drop to Adopt" initiative during the last months of 2023, wherein drop boxes were placed in each outlet and office, allowing employees and guests to show their generosity.

The funds raised through this initiative were turned over to Sitio Mabilog, the adopted community of Swissôtel Clark and Widus Hotel, on April 19, 2024. These funds are dedicated to the supplemental feeding of the children in the community, ensuring they receive nutritious meals essential for their growth and well-being.

We extend our gratitude to everyone who contributed to this cause. Your support had a profound impact, helping to create a healthier and brighter future for these children.
