Taking my background and my personal story into consideration, I feel I would be suitable for this course. Firstly, I consider my long-time gripping experience with English language motivational. Little did I think almost 40 years ago, doing my first English class, that I was starting a life-long journey. For my generation, it was fashionable to speak a foreign language and compulsory if you wanted a university degree. Therefore, I studied English from primary school to my 20’s. Then, I decided to make the English language part of my life. After graduating from university, I continued watching films or TV programs without subtitles, listening to music, reading posts and news articles. In fact, I took every opportunity to improve my language skills and I have transformed the English language into a reliable ally in my social life and career-path. As well as being a hard-working and dedicated student, I am also a daring person, capable of moving out of my comfort zone to chase my dreams. Starting a new life in a new country, deciding to continue my studies in my 40’s may be inspiring for many women. I am very familiar with English language as I have been studying and practicing it since my childhood. Besides, I managed to keep my level through different trips and jobs where the language was required. I am currently studying C1.2. at Pontevedra’s Languages School, and I am willing to participate in any other activity which keeps me updated.In addition, I have always tried to link other personal activities and hobbies to English. For example, as a movie and audiovisuals lover, I try to watch anything I can in English, either subtitled or not. Also, translating English texts and making Spanish subtitles for English dubbed movies are very useful. And at last but not least, the internet is essential when it comes to reading and surfing for any kinds of things. Dear Ms Paula, My name is Pablo and I am nineteen years old. The reason why I am writing this letter is the advert I recently saw at the EOI, the one who offers us the chance to be part of a C1-perfect-learner class. To be honest, I consider that I can make it into that class, so I am going to explain why I think so.
First of all, I have been improving my English level every single day. That is because
I am being extremely proactive, which I guess is one of the most important aspects in order to increase your language skills. Since I bought Netflix, almost two years
ago, I have been practising not only British English, but also American, so I can manage with many different accents.
Apart from that, I travelled to both Great Britain and the United States to give many speeches at schools about health care and many other tips, so I am convinced that oral activities will not be a problem to me. I also had the
opportunity to write three articles for the BBC company, which got a warm welcome, too. That shows I have a lot of experience leading with natives.
Last but not least, I must say that I would be fully focused on this course, and I

Dear Ms Paula, My name is Aloia LĂłpez MartĂnez. I am sixteen years old and this year I am studying first of GCE here in Pontevedra. The purpose of this letter is to explain why I should be a good candidate to study at your school. First of all, I love English and England, as I love to learn about them. I am a very fast learner if I find something that I like, which is the case. Also, I have read a couple of books in English (Sherlock Holmes, Tales by Edgar Allan Poe...) Everytime I watch a film is in O.V with English subtitles, so I can learn grammar as well as phonetics. I have travelled to countries with English speakers like England or Ireland. Furthermore, I have got some friends there so I can practise my speaking and writing by talking to them. When I was in England, I had to give a speech in front of my whole class and I did it really well. Otherwise, my English is better when I speak to one person than when I speak with seven. In the last two years I have also been a student, and I have been able to discover the working methods and routines that are followed in this centre.
