"El Rincón del Gaucho."
“Architecture does not deal with abstract things like philosophy. Knowing what is being done is important, but it doesn't start there. It starts with emotions. ”
"El Rincón del Gaucho" underwent a complete redesign, including a fresh new look for its logo while retaining the established color scheme and style, aligning with the overall intervention's objectives.
Logo proposal
The logo redesign proposal for El Rincón del Gaucho takes into account several elements from the old logo to create a fresh new image for the restaurant.
Redesigning Ideas
This project will focus on enhancing the experience and exclusivity by employing various resources. Our aim is to modernize the restaurant's image while preserving its identity, using a combination of technological and interior design elements.
Healthcare space design
The current project is primarily centered around creating a harmonious and tranquil environment where the Dermatology clinic clients can experience a profound sense of serenity and well-being. The objective is to cultivate a space that exudes comfort and evokes a deep connection with nature. By skillfully employing the use of foliage, wood elements, and a palette of neutral tones, the design aims to create a seamless integration with the natural world, fostering a serene and balanced atmosphere, making it dynamic and comfortable without overwhelming it with excessive colors or textures.
Furthermore, the incorporation of these natural elements not only enhances the aesthetic appeal but also promotes a sense of physical and mental wellness. The presence of greenery and organic textures fosters a rejuvenating ambiance and contributes to the overall health and vitality of the space. This thoughtful approach to design seeks to establish a sanctuary that not only inspires tranquility but also nurtures the spiritual well-being of its occupants.

In 1963, ALMACENES ETATEX opened its first commercial store on Guayaquil street in the center of Quito. They began selling fabrics, leather, and home goods.
Etafashion brings together various branches of fashion for the entire family. In order to reflect the brand's focus on family, a process was undertaken to unite different elements into a cohesive identity, resulting in the wolf as the central symbol. Wolves are known for being family-oriented animals with the ability to form strong social bonds and show loyalty to their pack. They are also monogamous and have deep emotional connections. The wolf represents loyalty and familial love.
Located in the south of Quito, in the El Recreo shopping center, the concept of the space reflects this identity through various design elements. Warm wood tones and natural materials are used to create a welcoming atmosphere, while the wolf motif is subtly incorporated into the space. The result is a space that embodies the brand's commitment to family and loyalty, providing a comfortable and inviting shopping experience for all.

El Recreo, the restaurant's concept is inspired by the traditional Mexican decorative craft known as "Papel Picado," which consists of intricate paper cut-outs used to adorn streets, houses, and public spaces during cultural celebrations. Throughout my career, I have been involved in various collaborative projects that highlight my ability to work effectively in a team. One notable project was the Collaborative Online Learning initiative, where I collaborated with UDEM a university in Mexico, during the pandemic. We created a rooftop space that serves as a coworking area and training facility. The project involved interior intervention and the design of a unique roof using Rhino software. Utilizing algorithms, we developed an envelope that considered all the climatic parameters of the high-altitude region of Quito, including sunlight exposure, wind patterns, rain and more.
Additionally, on the right side we can find a community-based project aimed at improving better quality of life for teenage mothers. We intervened in their living space, creating environments that catered to their activities and supported their entrepreneurial endeavors. This project demonstrated my commitment to social impact and the ability to design spaces that enhance functionality and well-being.
Both of these projects exemplify my capacity for collaborative teamwork and showcase my skills in interior architecture. They would be valuable additions to my portfolio.
This project focuses on creating a furniture line for a specific client who requires furnishings that better adapt to their limited space and specific needs. The client's use of the space extends beyond academics, as she is a mother in need of a designated area for rest, quality time and leisure activities for herself and her small child. So the goal is to create a comfortable and ergonomic environment despite the spatial limitations.
The concept for this project draws inspiration from the game of Tetris, as the client has a small space where they engage in multiple activities. The concept revolves around geometric pieces that fit together perfectly and are also convertible, allowing for movement and adjustment according to the client's requirements.
The design concept aims to create versatile furniture that optimizes the available space and provides functional solutions. The pieces will be designed to seamlessly fit together, adapting to the changing needs of the client and maximizing the efficiency of the limited area.

Residential and Commercial Spaces
Throughout my university career, have designed several furniture pieces for residential and commercial spaces. In this presentation, we can observe some of them, primarily focused on fulfilling a function in the home while also serving as aesthetic pieces.
Residential
1. Tetri-SC Entertainment Center: This is a convertible furniture piece where the TV can be concealed when necessary. This furniture piece is inspired by the concept of adaptability and multifunctionality.
2.Nervure Auxiliary Furniture: Inspired by the bone structure of the African Elephant, this piece combines functionality with a visually appealing design.
3.The Dome Furniture: This piece aims to create a private space for the client. It is a convertible furniture item made primarily with graphene, creating a dome-like structure that isolates the user from their surroundings. Inspired by futuristic design, it showcases innovative and forward-thinking furniture concepts.
Commercial
The furniture pieces were custom-designed for the commercial project of the restaurant "El Rincón del Gaucho." The first piece is a seating furniture designed to follow the existing column geometries, seamlessly concealing construction obstacles and blending harmoniously. As the building has historical significance, the construction process presented various challenges. The furniture was skillfully adapted to conceal these obstacles, smoothly integrating them into the design to create a cohesive aesthetic. The second piece is the adaptable main bar counter, designed to accommodate the specific needs of the space. with same concept of adaptability in mind, ensuring it harmonizes perfectly with the overall ambiance of the restaurant.
