LANDSCAPE WITHIN HOMES: Building a project-based habitat in the center of Bogota.
TACTICAL URBANISM: Urban Intervention in Villemar Park, Fontibón.
Urbanus Mambus: a sustainable system of social integration based on the orchard.
BIOTIC VIEWPOINTS: an ecological and collective regenerator for high-rise social housing.

The research interest of the graduation project is the problem recognized by authors such as Montaner and Muxi (2015), about the absence of essential aspects such as landscape, environment, city memory, scale and community, patrimonial and ecological life, when designing and projecting housing, since it is being thought of as a real estate business. By excluding the landscape, the refuges for diversity and contemplation are altered, so that the intrinsic benefits of contact with the outdoors and nature are not received by the individual who inhabits the dwelling. In this sense, the research intends to apply in an architectural design the identified project strategies that favor the connection between the house and the landscape.
With the development of the design of the collective housing in the historic center of Bogota as an academic exercise of application of the identified strategies, it was established that the architectural elements that compose the housing allow to connect the place of residence with the landscape, and in this way hierarchize it giving sense to the architectural composition, as a result the concept of hybrid house was developed in a collective housing in which the elements that compose the housing have within themselves compartments to house landscape of different scales.

The site chosen in accordance with the special Management and Protection Plan for the center (PEMP) in which the urban green gaps within a block are used as block centers, the heritage context allows capturing the built landscape, the colonial style landscape and the great cathedrals of La Candelaria, preexisting ancient trees that are determinant in the desire to preserve the landscape memory which gave contextual start to a privileged environment.
The implementation of the project consists of a courtyard composition by tangentially joining three bars at the corners articulated towards a void, seen in plan they form a U, with the desire to keep alive pre-existing trees of species such as yarumos and oaks. In relation to the city, a transversal linear axis of the project interconnects two PEMP projects: The T of memory, and The Park Way downtown.

In October 2020, the District Secretariat of Habitat led a Hackathon to generate ideas for urban interventions to rehabilitate public spaces in the city. The event/ideation process involved the participation of 60 architecture students from 6 universities in the country’s capital. Eighteen teams were formed, resulting in 18 tactical urbanism proposals for different parts of the city, with the promise by the entity to implement the 6 winning proposals.
After reviewing all the data obtained in the previous phase, we were able to arrive at the chromatic palette, whose main objective was to generate inclusion by making it an eye-catching element for children and older adults.
On the first day, the community actively used their park, grateful to be taken into account. On the second day, the members of the project were supported by the Botanical Garden in a reforestation day.

Food insecurity and hunger in Latin America and the Caribbean are closely associated with extreme poverty. Among the shortages faced by the population, the lack of access to food is the most serious and urgent to eradicate.
To address the problems of social, environmental, economic and urban development “Urbānus Mambu” proposes community gardens that generate sustainable alternatives, teamwork, coexistence and interaction between communities.

COVID-19 released the social and environmental vulnerability on a global scale when prolonged confinement questioned the quality of our most intimate spaces. Especially for the Latin American context, as social housing (VIS) are made with limited budget: facades lacking in lighting, ventilation and visuals. For this reason the biotic viewpoints are assigned a representative building of social housing in Bogota, “La plaza de la hoja”.
Designed for ex-combatants reintegrated to civilian life. The biotic viewpoints are system of restoration and ecological connectivity of urban environments, it proposes to increase soft soils by replenishing the traditional ecosystemic niches of the house with garden in high-rise buildings and, encourage the creation of public space.

The library is an experiment in the play of light in space. In the main reading space, movable slats that adapt to the change of light on the roof during the day provide the necessary light for readers. In the other rooms, louvres with diagonal openings and different depths give quality to the vital space of knowledge: by day the library and by night the public space as a recreation point.

FIRST FLOOR
The second floor project aims to provide public space to the city instead of being closed to it; prioritizing the connection with the pedestrian and the visuals. The design is permeable thanks to the elevated platform. That connects with the volumes, and these generate the ritual of access and the multiplicity of uses.
VOLUME/BODY
The volumes are located according to the views: the city line, the hills of Monserrate and the bullring; in the middle of the body they have a porch that captures these landscapes. Its shape is achieved by stacking squares with the addition of balconies, this allows access to light, and its facade is inspired by the vertical forest.
FINISH
The top of the building seeks to capture attention as a lighthouse and at the same time to be a self-monument. This is achieved by integrating the concept of trees in height with 2 floors with vegetation.
The polygon of the partial plan, is argued by 3 reasons, the first one: the proximity to the subway station of 72nd street is recognized, an important point within the structure of the subway being this the last station of the first line, the subway brings with it several works such as depressed in 72nd street, which breaks the link between the neighborhood porciúncula and the neighborhood quinta camacho, then a fabric-plaza is proposed on the depressed that covers the lack of public space in the area and serves as a social space for businessmen, students and workers, and also as a social space for businessmen, students and workers. The second reason is the lack of public space in the area and the fact that it serves as a social space for businessmen, students and workers. Second, due to the lack of linkage of the pedagogical university, by closing in on itself by means of a perimeter wall, and the intention is to open it to the city by means of paths and green corridors. Third, because of the patrimonial structure that surrounds it, mainly because of the porciuncula church and several patrimonial houses of classic and European styles.

The project seeks to offer an experience focused on honoring the landscape of the place: the Forest Legacy Corridor of the pine-oak ecosystem in Guatemala City. Under the principles of conservation, priority is given to the care of the undergrowth by elevating the trails for public use and privileging a biodiversity corridor of this type of ecosystem endemic to the region. The interventions seek to correspond to the hydrological corridors and honor local identity through the use of local materials, inspired by ancestral weavings in the design of the floor structures. A nursery is being built for the production of all the endemic species of the ecosystem to maintain the habitat and promote the attraction of all the local avifauna. (Wiesner, 2021).

The carrandanga is an allegory of the past, of the origin, of the ranchería; it is a space created for its traditional activities and for the new opportunities that the community presents, each cucuriaco creates, unfolds, transports and transforms the space and its people, it is part of the people, it is the tool, it is the encounter, it is the collective memory.
There are many types of cucuriaco, all mutate and adapt because it is their nature, the cucuriaco to weave (A’ANAA) is the cure to the forgetfulness of the traditions, the cucuriaco to eat (EKAA) attacks the evils that attack the lack of opportunities in the area, the cucuriaco to cultivate (A’TTIA) that heals the soul by giving a space for the songs that help to grow the life in the
desert, the cucuriaco to learn (EKIRAJAWAA) that dissolves the lack of spaces for leisure and culture and the cucuriaco to cure (EIYAJAA) that heals the diseases, the pains of the body and that can be transformed into a shelter.

The competition was based on a key question, what would a water park underwater look like? From which any type of concepts, spaces and approaches could be explored to give depth and solidity to the proposal, but the extra challenge consisted in exposing the proposal in a single axonometric without text
arranged in an area of 150x100 meters and with a deadline of 72 hours. Already in the first sketches a key concept of the proposal is perceived, which is the adaptability to the environment and the displacement capacity of the aquatic park based on the biomimicry of marine species.

Cali, a dream crossed by many rivers: rivers and basins that we inhabit and that inhabit us. As part of them, the Environmental Corridor of the Cali River that sustains urban life and the spirit of our project THE ECO OF THE RIVER, Cali's ecotone.

rhythms of the river through its course as a ribbon of life, which generates activities that connect and identify us in time.
