team of computer science students from Pattonville High School earned first place and the top prize of $10,000 at World Wide Technology’s (WWT) fourth annual Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) Student Forum Hackathon held on Feb. 23 at WWT’s global headquarters in Maryland Heights. The students were tasked with developing and building a technology in five weeks that brought people together to promote positive social change. Pattonville’s team competed against nearly 200 students from 19 schools. WWT provided each team with professional mentors who volunteered to help the students refine their ideas and connect them with WWT resources to complete their projects. Teams were judged on how
