About Pattie Parkhurst
Sculptures you wear

Are you the type of person that is fearless and always ready for an adventure? Do you want to take life by the horns and make it happen? My designs are bold, daring, and beautiful, just like the people who wear them.
I have been dreaming and living jewelry since I started making jewelry as a child. In college, I took my dreams of making jewelry a step further and pursued metalsmithing classes. I managed and eventually owned a metalsmithing school where we had master metalsmiths from all over the world come teach, and of course I took all the classes! These master techniques translate into my work today.
Inspiration for my work blossoms from the floral landscapes of my surroundings, the charm of Ireland, and the allure of antique jewelry, all of which leave an indelible mark on my designs. My creations have garnered recognition in numerous publications and have found a place in esteemed collections worldwide, notably including the Ministry of the Arts of Ireland and the Orville TV show.
All the original pieces are handmade by me then are made for production. Each piece is available in gold brass, sterling silver, gold plate, and 10k 14k, 18k gold

About the techniques
About the technique I specialize in-Anticlastic raising was developed by the Irish some 2,500 years ago. Today the technique isn’t very common because just one bracelet requires between 1,000 and 2,000 blows with a hammer. I spend days hammering to create original handmade jewelry that are three dimensional sculptures. Sculptures that come alive!
The patterns I use are from old antique plates that I roll onto sheets of metal. The little animals I hand cut out with a tiny little jewelers saw.
Once I get a piece I love, I mold it and cast multiples for production!
