hose of you that know Pattaya will already realize that that one of the most anticipated and awaited events of the year is the International Fireworks Festival. Routinely held every November on the north-end of Pattaya Beach Road, this is one of the most spectacular events of the year.
Finding a spot to view the fireworks is essential, especially when half of the city seems to be jostling for the best vantage point, so here are a few pointers for the best places to watch the display.

About the Pattaya International Fireworks Festival The annual Pattaya International Fireworks Festival is a competition that takes place in the city every year between multitudes of countries vying it out to be crowned as performing the best fireworks show. The fireworks are simply spectacular, and with the international contingent, makes it an important event for the city. This year’s event will be taking place of the 28th to 29th November, 2015, and will not only showcase the fireworks but also huge
parades, live music, lots of market stalls, concerts and traditional dance and contemporary dance shows. The event was created to celebrate the birthday of King Bhumibil Adulyadej, so it is an exciting time for both holidaymakers and locals alike. The event always takes place in the sea on the northside of Pattaya Beach Road, so here are 3 places to watch the display.
Beachfront Pattaya Hotels The best places to catch the fireworks display in its full glory are in the hotels located directly on Pattaya Beach Road. Routinely, hotels such as Hard Rock are prime locations directly opposite from the display, so a room on the 5th floor or upwards is easily the best vantage point. From here, you can sit back on your sea-view terrace with a drink in hand and watch the spectacular shows in the best seats in the house. Many of the adjacent hotels also set up areas in their grounds with beers stalls and the like, so you could always take advantage of this option for a great view in close proximity to the show.
Pattaya Beach Road Pattaya Beach Road is packed to the rafters during the festival, but still offers one of the best places to catch the extravaganza. Rows of chairs are set up across from the display on Beach Road, which is closed down to vehicles on the evenings of the festival, but you will need to get there early to reserve a seat. However, if you don’t get a seat, standing on Pattaya Beach Road with other onlookers is still a special experience. From the Sea The fireworks displays actually take place in the sea, so it makes sense that one of the most intriguing places to catch the show is from the ocean. Some companies offer party-boat trips out into the gulf during the festival, but as there is a no-sail zone within a large radius of the show, for safety reasons, you can’t get too close, but that doesn’t matter because viewing the display from a boat in the sea is such a great and unique experience, especially if you are parting with likeminded souls.
