It is difficult to understand the place you come from, it represents a myriad of thoughts and feelings at different stages in our lives. During childhood you are aware of your local environment, as you get older you become aware of its place in a regional and national context.
This collection of work is made from visual observations, memories and thoughts that explore a sense of place, locality and identity in an age of globalisation and homogenization.
Produced from new and existing work mixed with found ephemera, the work is grounded in creating a dialogue with our surroundings and each other.
