2016 Celebrates our 20th Year of Service to Chesterfield/West County!

HUNT

Welcome to the spring edition of TimeOffthe WHAT’S UP guide! This year we are celebrating our 20th year of serving Chesterfield and West County! We are the SAME magazine you’ve read and trusted throughout the years and we want to say thank you for your loyalty and readership. We are delighted to serve you and proud to say we live, work and play in Chesterfield too!! In this issue please check out our 15th Annual DINE Chesterfield/West County special section on page 17. It’s a great resource for finding restaurants around town. It has two sections- first there is a listing of EVERY Chesterfield restaurant in alphabetical order. Secondly, we include a comprehensive list of MOST restaurants in West County divided into categories. We are proud to say that this is the ONE & ONLY guide to West County dining. It takes a lot of research to update year after year and we hope you find it helpful when choosing a place to eat out around town.

Our winery is surrounded by acres of vineyards overlooking the Missouri River valley, thus making our location a step above the rest. We have unique venues for Wedding Ceremonies, Receptions, Corporate Events, Reunions, Birthday and Bachelorette Parties, etc… nothing is too small or too large. Concerts on the Hill April - August!

ntroduce your family to the lake lifestyle at the place where the weekend never ends. Located only 30 minutes west of Chesterfield, Innsbrook is a one-of-a-kind vacation home community with more than 100 lakes and 7,500 acres. Innsbrook thrives and grows in harmony with the forest and lakes around it. With greater access to more technology at ages younger than ever, a movement is growing to get your family to unplug and carve out a space for some non-electronic fun in your lives. You can find a news story nearly every day about the dangers of overindulging in technology. Its growing use has created health problems not even on our radar two decades ago. People are encouraged to get outside and get their kids more exposure to nature and natural light.

With greater access to more technology at ages younger than ever, a movement is growing to get your family to unplug and carve out a space for some nonelectronic fun in your lives.

Innsbrook has understood and emphasized this since its outset in 1971 – and stays true to the foundation that has made it successful ever since. The Innsbrook roots have grown deep and strong and reach far and wide into the St. Louis community through those who have lived, stayed and played there. Family is the first reason given by property owners for why they bought a second home at Innsbrook. It’s a place for them to see their kids for more than a few hurried minutes when they’re passing each other in the morning or evening. It’s a place for husbands and wives to become reacquainted away from the demands of running a household a place to leave earning a living behind and concentrate on living in earnest. Soon Innsbrook will open its new recreational amenity complex. The area will be home to a swimming pool and lazy river; an outdoor amphitheater for family-friendly summer concerts; a stateof-the-art fitness center; poolside grill and more. Fitness classes offered at the facility will include yoga, Zumba and water aerobics, as well as swimming and paddleboard lessons. Additional amenities include sand beaches, stables, a restaurant, golf course, nature trails and more than 125 community events and concerts each year.

BACK COVER FEATURE As well as being flexible and abrasion resistant, polyureas are more chemically resistant to a much wider range of chemicals than epoxy surfaces. From salt, oil, gas and grease, to acids, polyurea surface coatings will withstand a wide range of chemicals that you may use in your garage.

Does your garage floor have stains from oil or wintery road mess? Is it showing its age with cracks and pitting?

T

he team at SealMaxxPlus is excited to introduce to the St. Louis metro area, SealTek, a new solution for repairing and coating concrete floors and surfaces. SealTek’s floor coatings are guaranteed not to chip, crack, fade or yellow for 15 years. Their non-slip surfaces are four times stronger than epoxy coatings and are 100% UV stable. SealTek offers one-day installations for most residential garage floor makeovers. The multi-layer process begins with repairing any blemishes or cracks in the surface. Not all floor coatings are the same and SealTek’s process has very distinct advantages. A key component to SealTek’s floor coatings is the use of polyureas instead of epoxies or hybrid products commonly found elsewhere. The Products: Polyurea coatings are extremely flexible, 98% more flexible than epoxy/hybrid coatings. This flexibility is the key to the SealTek

coating withstanding your concrete’s expansion and contraction during the winter and summer temperature swings. Polyurea coatings are also four times more abrasion resistant than other epoxy/hybrid coatings. Another key benefit to polyureas are they are 100% UV stable, thus your floor coating from SealTek will not yellow or fade. The portion of the garage that goes beyond the door or areas near windows will look just the same as the rest of the floor!

35

The Process: For residential applications, SealTek will complete a 5-step process in one day to make over your garage. This process begins with repairing any blemishes in the concrete. Then the floor is resurfaced using diamond disc grinders attached to dust collector vacuums. Next a tinted poyeura base coat is applied topped with colored chip flakes. The flakes come in variety of colors for you to choose which best accents your home. The topcoat is a polyaspartic polyurea UV stable clear coat that thoroughly covers the whole floor. Lastly our installers will leave your home looking cleaner than when they arrived – no big mess for you to clean up. All this is completed in just one day!

Visit SealmaxxPlus.com for additional information on SealTek or to request a no obligation estimate.

Orangetheory Fitness Orangetheory Fitness rangetheory Fitness uses the science of heart rate based treadmill interval training, the efficiency of indoor rowing, and the proven concepts of weight and resistance training to create the fitness level and body you have always desired. Every workout engages the entire body, and every class is different so you’ll never get bored or plateau. The results? More energy, visible toning and an extra calorie burn for up to 36 hours after your workout. They call it the “Orange Effect,” and it is the x-factor to a totally new you. The physiological theory behind the Orangetheory workout is known as excess post exercise oxygen consumption, or EPOC. By providing you with a heart-rate monitor, Orangetheory can monitor your 5-zone interval training sessions and track your body’s response throughout the workout. During the 60-minute class, you will perform multiple intervals designed to produce 12 to 20 minutes of training at 84% or higher of your maximum heart rate. This program design produces the “afterburn,” which is an increased metabolic rate for up to 36 hours after the workout. When combining the amazing workout

Pure Barre Pure Barre is a total body workout that lifts your seat, tones your thighs, abs, and arms, and burns fat in record- breaking time.It utilizes the ballet barre to perform small isometric movements set to fantastic music. Students say Pure Barre is one of the the fastest, most effective, yet safest way to change your body. In just 55 minutes you can achieve a full-body workout concentrating on the areas women struggle with the most: hips, thighs, seat, abdominals and arms. The Pure Barre technique is low-impact, protecting your joints by avoiding any bouncing or jumping. Each strength section of the workout is followed by a stretching section in order to create long, lean muscles without bulk. The technique works to defy gravity by tapering everything in and lifting it up! By taking Pure Barre classes, you can burn calories and gain lean muscle. Its low-impact, isometric movements target and tone certain areas of your body, and your heart rate will go up and down. You can usually see results in just 10 classes. For optimal results, classes should be taken at least 3-4 times per week. All classes are the same level as the technique was designed to work for people at all levels of fitness. The positions and movements are basic- it's how deep you work in them that makes the difference.

ecent renovations at Valley Yoga in the Chesterfield Towne Center make the studio an even more welcoming place to begin your yoga practice or to continue your yoga journey. After five years in business, the studio’s addition of a comfortable, sun-lit lobby and a second practice room allows owner Jennifer Hojnacki to offer students a comprehensive schedule of classes and an expanded roster of teachers. As the most beginnerfriendly studio in town, Valley Yoga focuses on new students by offering daily Gentle Yoga classes at a variety of times. Gentle Yoga’s slower pace and introduction to poses enable beginners to safely increase their strength and flexibility. This hour and 15-minute class is beneficial for students with physical limitations or experienced students looking for a more relaxed practice. Yin Yoga, which emphasizes long, slow stretches for circulation and connective-tissue health, is also an ideal practice for beginners and a wonderful way for anyone to release energy blocks and tension. Yin Yoga also works wonders for runners and for those who work at a computer. New at Valley Yoga, is Chair Yoga, an innovative class using chairs as support

for students who have trouble getting down on the floor or who use canes or wheelchairs. Two studio spaces allow certified teachers to schedule private lessons for students looking for an in-depth session to jump start or deepen their practice. Workshops exploring topics related to the yoga lifestyle or focusing on specific poses are available monthly. Recent offerings included Yoga 101 and Essential Oils, and you can sign up now for upcoming workshops on partner yoga and chakras. Classes for more experienced students include 40+ Advanced and Pilates-Inspired Core Yoga. Prenatal Yoga is offered twice per week, and a meditation class is a new option for students interested in improving their mind-body connection. Regular yoga practice offers benefits including strength and flexibility, improved balance, decreased tension, weight loss, and a stronger immune system. Valley Yoga offers students of all levels the diverse mix of classes and teachers to experience these benefits.
