About Our Events

Eastern States 100

Eastern States is a 103-mile single-loop trail race (98% single/ double-track) in the Wilds region of the Allegheny Plateau in northcentral Pennsylvania. The race circumnavigates a portion of the stunning Pine Creek watershed that includes some of our longest climbs and most technical and remote terrain. It visits storied trails like the Mid State Trail and the Black Forest Trail, and accumulates over 20,000 feet of climbing in the process — all in the glorious heat and humidity of August.

Ironstone 100K

The Ironstone 100K. Legs of Iron. Resolve Like a Stone. Ironstone 100K is a savage point-to-point 100 kilometer ultramarathon on the wildest trails in the Alleghenies. Amazing in its terrain and rich in heritage, the ultramarathon starts at Canoe Creek State Park in Blair County and utilizes the Mid State Trail, and Standing Stone Trail in Rothrock State Forest before ending in Greenwood Furnace State Park in Huntingdon County.

Eagleton Trail Challenge

Welcome to the Eagleton Trail Challenge, just outside of Lock Haven, PA - the trailrunning capital of the East Coast. This is a milder and more runnable course than some other local races, with less elevation change and less technicality! Now don’t let that make you think that you can just show up and finish the race like it’s some local 5k road race. It still requires you to train and be fully prepared to meet the demands of a trail race. Enjoy beautiful trails in the springtime in the PA Wilds.

About Eastern States Trail-Endurance Alliance

We serve as stewards of the Eastern States 100, Ironstone 100K and Eagleton Trail Challenge and manage them as a public trust for the benefit of the community. We set high standards, we work hard to meet those standards, and we focus on long-term sustainability. We promote trailrunning. We believe in the power of movement in nature to enhance lives, that traveling fast and far over rough terrain in any weather builds confidence and competence and makes us more completely human. We promote unity and cooperation within the trailrunning community, and work to perpetuate the trailrunning ethos. At the core we are one fellowship built upon mutual respect, shared hardship and accomplishment, shared beauty, and love of the wild places. We promote unity and cooperation between trailrunners, other users of public land, and the communities that support us. We maintain trails and advocate for the responsible use of public lands, not only for runners, but for the good of everyone.

This is a fantastic chance to showcase your company, brand, and services to a dedicated and enthusiastic audience. By sponsoring Eastern States Trail-Endurance Alliance races and events, you’re not just gaining visibility among some of the most passionate and loyal participants in the region and across North America – you’re aligning your brand with a community that values endurance, adventure, and excellence.
