The grand father and his wife and two cats, they live up in the hill´s house

Y el abuelo los amaba.
There once was and old man who had two cats.
The grandfather loves them a lot.

The old man named the two cats Fatty and Skinny.

El abuelo vivĂa en una casa en la punta del cerro. Un bonito lugar, desde donde el abuelo podĂa ver el pueblo y el mar y mirar en todas las direcciones
The old man lived in a house on top of a hill, a beautiful place, where he could see the whole town below. He could also admire the OCEAN from every direction.
Fatty y Skinny nunca pudieron estar dentro de la casa porque la esposa del abuelo tenía alergia a los gatos. Ella comenzaba a estornudar y a toser, como si fuera una tormenta eléctrica. Eso producía mucho miedo en Fatty y Skinny que ambos comenzaban a temblar de miedo y querían salir afuera de la casa para esconderse del ruido.
Fatty and Skinny never could be inside the house, because the old man's wife would get allergic. She would start to sneeze and cough. Her sneezing and coughing were so loud like an electric storm. Fatty and skinny would try to run and hide in fright, spending most of the time outside away from the noise.
Siempre que los gatos se acercaban a ella comenzaba a estornudar. !!!!!!Achooos ยก!!!!!
When the cat get closed to her, she start sneezing ยก!!!! Achiuss!!!!
El abuelo hizo una cuna para gatitos en una pieza alejada de la casa, donde ellos pronto crecieron felices y lejos del ruido les asustaba.
The old man pitied this so he made a crib for the cats in a shack that was the farthest possible from his wife. And there they grew up quickly, happy far away from the noise.
En invierno Skinny, sentía mucho frio, a pesar que el abuelo lo arropaba como a un niño, pero Fatty no sentía tanto frio porque su gordura lo hacía estar calentito. En verano Fatty sentía mucho calor. Skinny estaba siempre fresco porque era más delgado.
In winter the Skinny would get cold even though the old man would clothed him like a child, but Fatty was fine because he was fat and warm. In summer Fatty would get hot, but Skinny was fine because he was skinny and cool.
En primavera y otoĂąo los dos gatos estaban de acuerdo eran las estaciones del aĂąo que podĂan pasar jugando y corriendo libremente en el patio
In spring and autumn they both agreed were they best seasons because of all the fun they would have outside.
Ellos podĂan dormir todo el dĂa en la terraza, y jugar toda la noche debajo de la casa-
They would sleep on the porch all day and play in the under the house at night.
El Ăşnico problema era que cuando la esposa del abuelo venĂa a la terraza y ellos estaban ahĂ durmiendo, la mujer comenzaba a estornudar
Only problem was when the old man's wife would come out and water the plants and the sneezing would begin again
El abuelo adoraba a sus gatos y les daba de comer cositas ricas de gatos, leche evaporada, y sardina enlatada que compraba en el supermercado

The old man loved his cats and he would give them delicious cat food, milk and canned tuna fish, that he would buy at the market.

Un dĂa los gatos entraron a la casa, cuando la esposa del abuelo no estaba, durmieron siesta, en la cama junto al abuelo. Los gatos querĂan quedarse a vivir dentro de la casa por siempre.
One day the cats went inside the house, when the old man's wife wasn't there. They slept quiet naps in the beautiful warm bed next to the old man, wishing and dreaming they could live inside house forever.
Cuando estaban durmiendo en lo mejor, llego la esposa del abuelo, y comenz贸 a estornudar, y a toser, tan estruendosamente que los gatos salieron corriendo aterrorizados.
Right when they were enjoying it, the most the old man's wife, came back home. Almost instantly she began to sneeze and cough so hard and loud that it sounded like thunder. The cats got scared, screamed, jumped and ran.
Salieron locos por la puerta de la cocina, corrieron por el pasadizo, pasaron raudos por el jardĂn saltaron la fensa de la casa.
They bolted hastily down the hall, through the kitchen, out the door, across the garden and over the fence.
Ahora eran libres y fuera del ruido
They were free and far away from the noise.
El pueblo se veĂa hermoso desde arriba y en las noches a lo lejos se sentĂan otros gatos maullar y ĂŠsta era la oportunidad de bajar al pueblo y conocer a otros gatos.
They were still on the hill over the town while night was falling. They listened, hearing only distant cat calls coming up from down below. So they made the best of it and went to town to meet the other cats.
Fatty estaba con miedo, el jamás había salido del patio de la casa, pero Skinny lo animaba y le decía: “Yo no tengo miedo, allá afuera hay un mundo por descubrir”. Hay
mariposas,
saltamontes,
abejas,
salamandras, conejos, ratones‌uhm que rico poder cazar uno y jugar con Êl. Allå en el pueblo debe haber toneladas de ratones
Fatty was scared. He never left so far as front yard of the house before. Skinny though cheered him on saying "I'm not scared, I'm Skinny and cool the best cat ever. I can hunt butterflies,
bees,
grasshoppers,
lizards,
and even rabbits, but my best habits are mice! The town below must have tons of them.
TambiĂŠn hay nidos de pĂĄjaros, y
huevos exquisitos para comer, no pasaremos hambre. Lo Ăşnico que debemos tener cuidado es con los zorros y perros
hambrientos.
There must be birds also with their
exquisite eggs. We won't go hungry. The only things we have to watch out for, are foxes and hungry dogs.�
Caminaron mucho, y se hizo la noche, cuando Fatty quería devolverse, Skyny le decía, mira hermano, ¿sabes que es ese ruido?
Es un búho, que sale a cazar conejos en la noche, de pronto desde la cima de una roca se podía sentir el ruido de un búho que decía UUUUH, UUUH, UUUH
A long walk down while night fell, strange new noises frighten Fatty. He pleaded to Skinny to turn backwith him. Skinny would have nothing of it and said "Listen brother, you know what that sound is? It’s an owl, which hunts rabbits at night. Look over there." he meowed. Right above them on top of a rock an owl kept Hoot Hooting at the night.
Los dos se subieron a una roca más grande y se quedaron contemplando la noche, se veían las estrellas en el cielo, se sentían los
grillos cantar, y por entre los arbustos podían ver a una familia de conejos corriendo por aquí y por allá
They climb the rock to see what the owl was hooting at and stayed to look around. They saw stars, heard crickets and by some bushes they saw a family of rabbits running about.
Fatty querĂa regresar, pues sentĂa tristeza por dejar al abuelo, pero le daba miedo regresar solo y Skinny, solo querĂa seguir bajando para recorrer el pueblo.
Fatty wanted to go home because he was sad and missed the kind old man. He was too scared though and Skinny wanted to go down and explore the town.
En eso estaban cuando de pronto vieron venir a un zorro, podĂan ver sus ojos
brillando en la oscuridad, y ambos comenzaron correr cerro abajo y el zorro corrĂa tras ellos para atraparlos. Los perros escucharon el alboroto y comenzaron a ladrar tan fuerte, que daba miedo
While they looked around some more, they spotted two eyes glowing
in the dark staring back up at them. Skinny and Fatty both screamed "FOX!" in fright and ran toward the town in a scamper. The dogs hear the commotion and start burking, so loud, was scary
El zorro comenzó a seguirlos, Fatty en confusión usaba todas sus energías corriendo cerro abajo; entraba en una estrecha fensa de una casa desconocida, pero al menos ahí estaría seguro. Skinny por otro lado, le vio irse corriendo cerro arriba, y Fatty esperaba haya llegado de regreso a casa, sano y salvo.
Fatty ran so hard downhill cursing how fat he was until he barely squeezed through a fence and dashed under an unknown house. He last saw Skinny running around and up the hill in the confusion, hoping to himself that Skinny made it back home.
Ahora Fatty estaba en este lugar extra帽o, muerto de miedo, pero se meti贸 debajo de la casa y desde ah铆 esper贸 que amaneciera.
At least for now Fatty felt safe under the unknown house. Tired and scared he slept warily until
morning.
En la maĂąana estaba pronto a irse, la fensa no estaba lejos; en eso estaba, pensando, cuando de la casa sale una viejita, se veĂa caminaba muy lento y
hablaba sola.
At dawn break he was about to leave through the fence again thinking about where to go, when an old lady came out of the house. She walked slowly, and talked to herself.
Fatty se sintió conmovido por la anciana se veía tan sola. Ella comenzó a hablar con una voz suavecita: Aquí estas mi lindo gatito, eres muy gordito y calentito Fatty decía si lo soy: “gordito y calentito”
She whispered in a sweet old lady's voice: “My, what a fatty catty, you are, so fat and warm.” Which Fatty purred in reply: “I'm Fatty, and I am Fat and warm?
La viejita, le dijo: “ven cuchi, cuchi” y su voz sonó tan hermosa que Fatty se dejó
abrazar por ella.
He approached the old lady and she murmured "Here kitty, kitty" and Fatty let himself be picked up for the lady
Ella le dijo ven, entra en la casa, puedes tomar leche, comer y dormir conmigo. Yo quiero en las noches me calientes los pies, sobre todo cuando hace mucho frio. Fatty se sinti贸 feliz con la abuela. En la noche, se fue a dormir con ella en su cama. La abuela le dijo: Desde esta noche eres mi cuchi, cuchi, mi gatito
guatero.
She took him inside and gave him to eat and drink. While he listened to the old woman speak in her old kind voice. "You can eat as much as you like. You are so very fat and furry that you can sleep with me on cold nights and warm my feet." she said. Fatty love the idea of living inside a new home with such a kind person, that he is agreed. That night they slept together. He never felt happier at the feet of the old lady, in a big bed. The old woman told him: "From now on you are my fatty kitty,
my hot-water bottle cat."
Por otro lado el abuelo salió por días y días buscando a sus dos gatos, pero nada, subió y bajó el cerro, anduvo todo el lugar y nada. ¿Dónde de estarán mis gatos? ¿Se los habrá comido el zorro? Se preguntaba
The whole while the old man on top of the hill looked day after day for his two cats but never found them. He went up and down where he lived but never found them. "Where are my cats? Did the fox eat them?"
he asked
Un dĂa el abuelo tuvo que ir a comprar el pan al pueblo e iba manejando su auto, cuando de pronto vio a un gato igual a Fatty, estaba dormitando en una terraza en una casa de color azul.
One day the old man went to buy bread to down town. On his merry way he spotted a cat just like Fatty who was sleeping on a wooden porch
of a blue color house.
El abuelo feliz, se bajó del auto y llamo a Fatty, pero este cuando estaba a punto de venir hacia él, salió de la casa, la abuela y le dijo “guaterito” ven aquí, entra…vamos y el gato obedeció muy contento y entro a la casa con ella.
The old man surprised and happy called out to the cat. Fatty looked up and was about to run to the old man but he heard the old woman come out of the house to call him too. "Come here my water bottle, purr cat, she said, and Fatty happily went inside with her
Un dĂa el abuelo estaba triste, se sentĂa muy solo sin sus gatos, y se
fue a caminar a la playa, cuando de pronto ve a Skinny estaba acompaĂąado de una linda gatita en la playa.
One day the old men was sad and went for a beach walkHe was walking went he saw skinny at the beach with a female cat
Skinny tenĂa una amiga gatita y se veĂa feliz con ella y no pensaba volver a la casa de cerro.
Skinny have a new girlfriend now, and he look so happy. He never wants to go back to the hill house again.
El viejito regres贸 a casa y cont贸 a su esposa la historia que ambos gatos estaban vivos y ahora viv铆an en el pueblo. El abuelo qued贸 muy feliz de saber que Fatty el calentito y Skinny el fresquito, sobrevivieron la aventura de bajar al pueblo y vivieron por siempre feliz
FIN.
Well, at least the skinny cat is alive too, also happy to know that Skinny was still skinny and cool. Grateful the old man returned home to tell news and story of the two cats to his wife. The adventure, how Fatty the warm, and Skinny the cool, went to Down Town and live happily ever after.
