ABOUT ME:
I´m graduated from Master’s degree at ETSAB, Escola Tècnica Superior d’Arquitectura de Barcelona after completing undergraduated studies of Architecture at ETSAM, Universidad Politécnica de Madrid.
I have almost three years of professional experience working in architectural firms developing projects from de schematic design to construction phase, ranging from urban design to offices, housing and hotels projects; construction management, contact with the client and suppliers, as well as participation in national and international competitions.
Throughout these years I have been able to be part of international and multidisciplinary teams where communication, respect and passion have been fundamental to further my knowledge. I’m interested in expanding my formative and professional experience to put into practice everything I have learned so far and further develop my skills.
I consider myself an open-minded, hard-working and creative architect, able to communicate effectively when working in a group. My approach to architecture is that of a passionate, responsible, curious and enthusiastic person, with a critical eye, spirit of change, and a careful approach to aesthetics and details.

Hydroponic gardens + housing MENDOZA, ARGENTINA

FALL 2020
The hydroponic garden is the core of the project both structurally and economically. A fully automated industrialized space that requires almost no maintenance. The housing is placed as a belt around the productive garden modules, so that all the sunlight is used for the enjoyment of the “body” of the project.
Nucleus of vertical comunications: for transportations of harvested products and packages
Public space:
The existing areas among the building are open to the city, and are are covered with sun shields, or uncovered, for different uses
Outer skin: A prototype is developed. A rhomboydal skin that allow light effects and regulates temperature
Cropping nucleus:
Hydroponic trays for the largest plants. The ones that reach these trays are the one to be harvested and taken to storage and distribution

Housing-belt
Nucleus comunications: for inhabitants

Nucleus of vertical comunications: private, inhabitants of houses
Public space: in the lowest floor, different structures are built in order to accomodate public uses such as markets, terraces or resting areas
Housing-belt

THE SKIN AS A SUNSCREEN
Allowing soft lighting effects while regulating solar radiation and controlling temperatures

THE BATHROOM IS THE CENTRAL ELEMENT OF THE HOUSE
A place designed as an oasis, where you can relax, see, and be seen
CHILL-OUTS
OPEN TO THE COMMON CORRIDORS
The entrances are set back to make room for meeting places, surrounded by the skin and its multiple atmospheres

THE LIGHT FROM THE GARDEN enters on the inside wall of each house through a translucent polycarbonate that hides the activity of the garden but allows the purplish halo of the LED lights to shine through
SKIN GLOWS AT NIGHT thanks to the LEDS integrated in the polycarbonates integrated in the loom, which reduce the light and therefore the indoor atmosphere

The project strongly advocates that housing is not a product of speculation, but an exclusively human and community component.
The economic benefit is provided by the growing machine, the house is only responsible for providing a safe, comfortable and pleasant space in which to live.
In this way, each house is designed from a hedonistic, environmental and atmospheric perspective that allows each user to enjoy and configure their home alone or accompanied, opening or closing, at will and pleasure, at voluptatem.

The project consists of the rehabilitation, reconstruction and extension of the former Elite cinema and Scharabeus theatre in the historic centre of Schaerbeek, as well as the small Brussels-style house annexed to it, with the aim of transforming the whole complex into a new socio-cultural centre accessible to all and open to the city (neighbourhood).
The renovation includes two large performance spaces, a cinema, ateliers, multi-purpose rooms and a café-theatre, among other adaptable spaces to host different cultural and social activities, as well as technical and administrative spaces.
All of this will be based on the maximum conservation of the existing state of the building, maintaining a large part of its structure, as well as its brick walls in perfect condition, which will maintain the character of what it was in its day. The single level common to all three buildings will also be maintained, giving rise to the central hall, a large, bright space that will distribute the building and act as a meeting point for visitors to the new Schaerbeek Cultural Centre.

The project extends along the bottom of the canal from Place Sainctelette to Vilvoorde. At present, the canal, bordered by an industrial zone and designed for cars, suffers from a lack of public spaces and creates an impassable barrier separating the more urban neighbourhoods from each other.
In contrast, we want to make the canal a city structure that creates large-scale connections.
Once considered an exclusively economic space, today, as a mixed productive city, the canal land is coming back to life.

Transversally, we connect the two banks, on the one hand by building footbridges linking the currently separated neighbourhoods and, on the other hand, by developing the city towards the banks of the canal. The inhabited docks become places to live, share and produce.

Longitudinally, between Brussels and Vilvoorde, we created an active mobility network. Along the canal and the river Senne, footpaths, cycle paths and tram lines for freight transport are being developed and implemented around a misxte programme linking existing housing and productive industry.
The use of the canal as a supply route to Brussels is being developed and optimised to offset road transport. The canal is also attractive for nautical activities and water bus lines.
The reopened Senne River cuts through the canal landscape and activates the new neighbourhoods it flows through. We diverted its course to the former railway formation site, which we reallocated as a productive nature park.

“Blurring
the boundaries between Industrial and Residential”
Urban and architectural intervention
Bon Pastor, Barcelona

‘Blurring the boundaries between Industrial and Residential is a project that aims to revitalise the Bon Pastor neighbourhood through an urban intervention in an obsolete industrial block, closed in on itself.
The approach focuses on breaking down the physical and social barriers, encouraging the connection with the new Mercedes factory and generating a safe and attractive place for the neighbours.

By opening up this block to daily pedestrian traffic, we seek to create a dynamic interaction between industrial activity and urban life. The main objective of this intervention is to provide a sense of security and promote relations between neighbours, while preserving the identity of the neighbourhood.
One of the outstanding proposals is the creation of a public market in a building inspired by the industrial buildings characteristic of the industrial estate area, but with a lighter and more contemporary design in structural, compositional and material terms.

This market will have a large central square that will serve as a meeting point for the residents of Bon Pastor, who will be able to enjoy a unique experience while coexisting with coworking spaces on the upper floors, where they will be able to train and work. In addition, the project includes an intervention model for the rest of the buildings on the estate, following the line of symbiosis between the industrial and the urban. This will generate a greater interest of the neighbours for the industrial activity and will promote permeability in the whole area.

With this urban intervention for the connection and transformation of the Bon Pastor neighbourhood, the aim is not only to physically transform this environment, but also to promote the social and economic development of the neighbourhood, strengthening community ties and creating a vibrant and welcoming place for all.

The new headquarters of the SEM (health emergency service), is a 21.000m2 building, inserted in the Duran i Reynals Hospital complex in Barcelona, that responded to the challenge of being built only 12 months after the award of the contract.
I was involved for three months as part of the team for the elaboration of construction plans, BIM modeling and CAD detailing.
