Renova opens deep retrofit showroom

Irish deep retrofit specialists Renova have announced the opening of their specialist showroom in Kilmacanogue, Co. Wicklow (next to Avoca Handweavers). The showroom allows those who are thinking about undertaking a deep retrofit to browse technical and design displays, and get to grips with the ins and outs of a deep retrofit project. “You can can come in to our showroom and touch and feel every aspect of a deep retrofit to understand it better,” said Renova’s John Martin.

The company offers a consumer-focused retrofit service and, using only their own staff, manages every aspect of an upgrade, from retrofit design and construction right down to interior design and professional cleaning afterwards. John Martin founded the company with Alan Stevens, and the two chartered surveyors have over 15 years experience in the construction sector. Their team also includes leading Irish energy consultant Gavin O’Sé. John and Alan have managed various deep

energy retrofit projects in Dublin over the last few years, including deep retrofit projects with internal insulation in Glasnevin and Monkstown. The Renova showroom is located at Glencormack Business Park, Kilmacanogue, Co Wicklow, just off the N11 next to Avoca Handweavers.

Energy Show 2014 to highlight energy efficiency in buildings Engineers and DIT, will look at issues such as including the integration of renewables and modern lighting design.

The Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland’s (SEAI) Energy Show 2014 takes place at the RDS in Dublin on Wednesday 12 and Thursday 13 March. The annual two-day business event, which sees more than 150 companies exhibit at the show, is the key energy showcase in the Irish calendar – a must for those in the construction industry who want to be up to speed on the latest energy saving solutions.

This year’s show will see an extended best practice skills area to include heating, ventilation and heat recovery technologies, as well as insulation solutions. A smart tech demo area will showcase some of the innovative products of the future which are not yet commercially available. Visitors will also have access to international markets with scheduled networking sessions with France, Britain, Spain, Portugal, Denmark, Poland, Canada, China, Israel and Argentina.

The Energy Show, now in its fourteenth year, will feature a trade exhibition presenting leading suppliers of sustainable energy products and services for businesses. As in previous years, the show will feature seminars where professionals can learn how to maximise energy savings for their organisation, whether in the commercial, industrial or public sectors. This year, the seminars will address managing energy in buildings, the systems and analytic tools that assist this and innovative energy solutions through heat recovery. The seminars include a session on how to maximise efficiency in complex facilities, which will look at both internal and outsourced solutions for financing building upgrade investments.
