WELCOME TO PASCHOE HOUSE Here at Paschoe House we delight in making your wedding day dreams a reality. From the moment you and your guests turn into our winding driveway through the rolling fields, you’ll leave the world behind and soak in the truly unique atmosphere here at Paschoe. If you choose to hold your wedding day at Paschoe House, you will take over the entire house and its grounds with exclusive hire, meaning that you and your guests have absolute privacy. Meanwhile of course, our team are on hand to provide the very best in food, drink and hospitality. We are licensed to hold wedding ceremonies in a variety of locations on the estate and we also have St Andrew’s Church in Colebrooke on our doorstep as well as Crediton Parish Church. Our Head Chef has an array of menus-to-remember from Devon’s larder, as well as meeting all the dietary requirements of your guests. Views from our estate reach across to Dartmoor and your guests may enjoy walks around the grounds as well as tennis or clay shooting the morning of. If the nerves are running high, we can organise a pre-wedding massage for you in your suite. We look forward to making your big day one to remember.

ENGAGEMENT SHOOT If you want the full Paschoe wedding experience, why don’t you organise your engagement shoot with us? It is also a great opportunity for your photographer to get a feel for your chosen venue if they have not been to us before, and you can all earmark some special spots for photos on the big day. There is no fee from us if you would like to visit for your engagement shoot. Please do just check with our Events Manager before confirming a date with your photographer.

STATIONERY WORDING As soon as you have confirmed your date with us, don’t forget to send out your Save the Date cards! Debrett’s recommend that wedding invitations be sent out no later than 12 weeks before the big day! We would recommend the following: • Let your guests know where else in the area they can stay the night. • John Lewis Gift List (don’t be afraid to put some expensive items on there!) • Notify your guests of the Carriages time and don’t forget to remind them to pre-book their taxis! Paschoe House also offers a shuttle service. • Notify your guests that they are welcome to join you for breakfast the following morning and to call us to book in if they are not residents. • How about a little map to give your guests reassurance of how to find us. • On the RSVP section, it is imperative we know of any allergens, likes or dislikes so that alternative dishes can be tailored to your guests needs in advance of the wedding breakfast on the day. Are you interested in using our RSVP service? You can have your RSVPs returned directly to us via post or email.

FLORALS We have worked with several florists from the South West, each bringing their unique design to Paschoe House. We can recommend our preferred florists or you can introduce us to someone new, the choice is yours. You will need to think about: • Ceremony Florals (pedestals, mantelpieces, urns and registry table) • Bouquets, Buttonholes and Corsages • Top Table display • Round Table central displays • Glasshouse Décor • Staircase Décor • Floral Arch

Our exclusive use fee includes all 9 en-suite bedrooms and we can sleep up to a total of 28 guests in the House. Breakfast the following morning is also included for all residents. THE DAY BEFORE Glasshouse Setup If you have decided to decorate the Glasshouse with greenery or a central floral chandelier, this will need to be actioned by your florist prior to the Paschoe House Team setting up your tables, chairs, ironing linens and polishing crockery, cutlery & glassware so as not to dirty the area. We will ensure that the Glasshouse is completely ready for yourself and your suppliers to gain access to from 12pm the day before your wedding for table centrepieces, wedding favours, place names, table names and anything else you wish to add to the display. Please note that we are more than happy to put out your place names and other stationery for you. We would need advance warning if you wish us to tie up napkins and add florals to the napkin display. Please note that decoration in the House will only be permitted on the wedding morning itself. You may wish to take exclusivity both the night before and the night of, in which case the House can be decorated as soon as the exclusive use begins the day before.

THE NIGHT BEFORE Who will be staying at Paschoe House? All of your guests staying with us the night before will receive a complimentary cream tea upon arrival. Sensational Suites • Deer (Bridal Suite) - 2 guests maximum • Fox (Connected to the Bridal Suite) - 4 guests maximum • Owl/Dormouse (Jack and Jill Suite) - 6 guests maximum Spacious Rooms • Badger - 3 guests maximum • Rabbit - 3 guests maximum • Bat - 2 guests maximum Snug Rooms • Otter - 2 guests maximum • Hedgehog - 2 guests maximum • Squirrel - 4 guests maximum All our bedrooms are en-suite with five of our nine bathrooms featuring roll top baths. Dining with us • BBQ on the Games Lawn or South Terrace • Casual Dining in our Library Bar or Morning Room • 3-Course A La Carte or Tasting Menu with Wine Flight in our Dining Room

THE MORNING OF Bridal Suite Room Service On the morning of the wedding we organise a bridal party room service, and complimentary Bucks Fizz, which is setup in Fox (the connecting suite to Deer). Please note that Deer alone is not large enough for a room service breakfast for more than two guests, as well as providing an area for hair and makeup to take place in so we would recommend having the two suites for the “getting ready process with 3 or more bridesmaids. Your hair & makeup team are more than welcome to join you in the bridal suite from 7am where tea and coffee can be provided prior to breakfast. Breakfast can be served in the bridal suite from 8am. Breakfast for all other residents of Paschoe House is served between 9am and 11am in the Dining Room. We can also organise clay shooting or a spot of tennis on the estate, for those who have a little more time to spare during the morning.

PARKING It is entirely up to you as to whether you would like to permit cars to come up and park on the forecourt to the front of Paschoe House. We would advise that you keep the forecourt clear for your vintage car, confetti aisle and group photos and we can direct all of your guests to park in the Guest Parking Field with a handy little sign on the drive up to the House. Alternatively, group photos have also been taken to the rear of the House. Your guests are more than welcome to leave their cars at Paschoe overnight and collect them the following morning.

CEREMONY Before your ceremony, you may wish to put on some sandwiches and soft drinks in our Morning Room or to serve tea and coffee for your guest’s arrival. Please note that alcohol must not be consumed in the ceremony area one hour prior to the ceremony start time. We would recommend a ceremony time of 1pm or 2pm - our licensed areas at Paschoe House are: Indoors • The Dining Room • The Morning Room Outdoors • The South Terrace Loggia • The Games Lawn • The Walled Garden After the ceremony, you may wish your guests to throw confetti – this can be handed out by our staff or your ushers during the signing of the registry and can be thrown as you leave down the aisle. We can also organise a confetti aisle to the front of the House for you. Please let us know if you would like us to supply biodegradable confetti.

PHOTOGRAPHY & VIDEOGRAPHY After the confetti is the perfect moment to do your group shots as you will have everyone together in one place. Your photographer will have asked you for a list of family members and different combinations of loved ones you would like photographed prior to the big day. Photographers that we have worked with before and that we would recommend are: • Maxi Photography • Cindy Kitchker Photography • Ross Talling Photography • Alex Toze Photography Photographers will usually arrive around 10am, mid “getting ready” and leave after the first dance. Videographers that we would recommend are: • Rowe Films • Yeti Films Please note that if your videographer is using a drone then the drone must only fly over Paschoe House land (see our map of the estate).

WELCOME DRINKS AND CANAPÉS One of the (many) reasons why you may have chosen Paschoe House to host your wedding day is because of our excellent food and beverage. All of our catering is taken care of in-house by our team of highly skilled chefs. Within your package, you can choose two alcoholic welcome drinks, as well as a quantity of soft drinks (that will be available from the bar) from the following list: • Prosecco • Champagne • Wines • Beers & Ciders • Cocktails Also included within your package are 6 canapés per person, which change seasonally so please see our separate menus dependent on the time of year you wish to get married.

WEDDING BREAKFAST Around 6 months before your big day, we will invite you in to taste your wines, canapés, two starters, two mains and two desserts. Please note that you are required to select one starter, main and dessert. These courses will be served to all guests unless dietary requirements dictate otherwise. Having your dishes set will allow us to serve your guests with timings as follows: • 60 to 90 guests - within 2 hours. • 90 to 120 guests - within 3 hours. If you wish us to, we can introduce you and your new spouse into the Glasshouse.

SPEECHES It is traditional to do your speeches at the end of the wedding breakfast and usually the father of the bride will speak first, followed by the groom and then the best man. We are more than happy to announce the speeches and the father of the bride, it is then customary for the father of the bride to announce the groom and the groom to announce the best man. We have a wireless microphone for your use. At the end of the speeches, we will ask all of your guests to vacate the Glasshouse so we can turn it around for the evening reception and that there is tea and coffee waiting for them in the Morning Room. Some of our couples like to provide a fruit cake at this time for their guests to enjoy with their hot beverages. Other couples like to supply Espresso Martinis!

EVENING RECEPTION Once everyone has vacated the Glasshouse, the Paschoe Team will start clearing the dancefloor and your chosen evening entertainment will start setting themselves up. The Paschoe Team can clear down the Glasshouse within 30 minutes, although bands and DJs can take up to 90 minutes to setup. During this time, your guests are invited to enjoy the Morning Room, the Library Bar and in the summer months, the South Terrace as well as the Games Lawn. Once your evening entertainment is ready to go, we will invite everyone back in to the Glasshouse for the cutting of the cake and the first dance. It is then party time for you and your guests! When there is a break in the music, we will serve your evening buffet.

PARTY UNTIL 2AM Once your band have finished their sets, they will pack up their kit and it will be your DJs time to shine. We can recommend our house DJ or you are more than welcome to hire your own. Alternatively, you may wish to wrap up your day once your band depart and call Carriages at midnight.
