Community Resources Education Greater Pasadena is served by the Pasadena Unified School District with 20 elementary schools, three middle schools and four comprehensive high schools serving grades K-12. There are more than 35 private elementary and secondary schools in the area, including La Salle, Saint Francis, Flintridge Sacred Heart and Maranatha High Schools. Saint Andrew, Highpoint Academy, Chandler and Walden schools serve elementary and middle school-aged children. More then 60 pre-schools and childcare centers also serve the community. California Institute of Technology (Caltech), Fuller Theological Seminary, Art Center College of Design and Pacific Oaks College are recognized as some of the finest higher education institutions in the country. Pasadena City College is the jewel of California’s community college system, serving nearly 30,000 students.

Visits to All Saints Episcopal Church, Historic First Lutheran Church, H-Rock Church or Pasadena Presbyterian Church, among others, can be spiritually and aesthetically rewarding.
