WELCOME Summer 2017 keeps on fine-tuning and reshaping the clubbing landscape of Ibiza so that it satisfies all musical tasted possible. Let’s see what changes have happened and what is most worth paying your attention to!
First and foremost, a new superclub has opened in the building that was for 27 years occupied by Space Ibiza. Called Hï Ibiza and fully refurbished, it is managed by the same team that created and nurtured Ushuaïa. The programming of the new nightlife institution of Playa d’en Bossa features weekly parties by Martin Garrix, Eric Prydz, Black Coffee and Armin van Buuren, as well as such events as classic house/disco affair Glitterbox, non-commercial house haven In The Dark and Hï Sundays for big room house fans. Afterlife, who successfully debuted last summer in Space, have relocated to Privilege
where they will be in charge of Thursdays till September 28. The island’s appetite for dark underground vibes seems insatiable. Another ex-inhabitant of Space, ElRow have made a big bold move and chosen Amnesia as their current home till September 30. Occupying both rooms, they never fail to deliver, and their show has become even more spectacular given that the scale has doubled. Disclosure took a mini-residence in DC10,
bringing their Wild Life project for 4 Fridays consecutive till August 11. Safe to say, that will be a complete roadblock.
every Wednesday till October 4. Well, provocative sexiness fits this place indeed! Another notable addition to Heart’s programme is Keep On Dancing, which evolved from last year’s monthly one-offs into a regular Thursday affair that will last till October 5. This event is famous for its ‘original Ibiza’ vibes: locals love it and gather here eagerly. Acid Sundays by Acid Pauli migrated from Heart to Las Dalias – and most islanders confirm
that’s a match made in heaven. The celebration of trippy-hippy spirit will go on weekly till September 17 from 6pm till midnight. However, Sundays at Heart aren’t left unattended: Bedouin are taking care of them with their Saga concept, taking up where Acid Pauli left off and going on in more or less the same vein. Catch them put their meditative spell on the crowd weekly till September 24. Eden keeps reinventing itself, adding new events to its programme. Defected on Sundays till October 1 are the hottest tickets in the schedule.
As if Do Not Sleep were not fully content with their nighttime success, they’ve launched a brand new Cuckoo Land daytime event in Ibiza Rocks Hotel. The party madness will go on every Sunday till September 24, from 2pm till 10pm. Hurry up and catch all your favourite artists play!

COVER INTERVIEW Hi guys! Let's go back to the very start of the summer: You had the opportunity to play for the newest club of the island right at the opening. Tell us about your gig at Hi and what was your first impression of the brand new venue?
SHONKY: It was an honour to play there for the opening, it’s not often there’s a new club in Ibiza and this one was built where the legendary Space once stood. We heard that the sound system and all the technology inside the club was of a very high quality and we were not disappointed. We had a look at all the rooms in the club and found this time be true throughout the whole venue. DAN: We could feel that a lot of effort and energy had been put into the club, it really showed. It’s great to play in this kind of environment – when the production, soundsystem and crowd is great then that’s the best situation you can ask for. Apart from regular appearances at DC10 for Circoloco you've made Music On at Amnesia your second home. What do you think is it, that makes Music On the Ibiza standout night that it's been for years now? And what is it for you personally that made you choose Music On?
DYED: Music On has been one of the best parties on the island for five years now. We joined in 2016. We couldn’t help but take the opportunity to play all night long at Amnesia, which led to an all day long and all night long at Cova Santa. DAN: Very few promoters are able to offer you such a long slot. The way they treat us is first class during our performance, people like Toto and David are here with us from the very start til the last second to make sure nobody disturbs us and to maintain a great vibe in the booth.

COVER INTERVIEW Dan and Dyed made a surprise appearance playing at the Zoo Project in May. What memories do you have of that party, and please tell us that you're gonna be back there at some point?!
DAN: It was the first time we’d been back on the island since the closings, which was really nice as we had the chance to reconnect with friends who we hadn’t seen in a while. DYED: It’s always great to come back for the beginning of the summer, the energy was strong and we played unannounced for Stephane Ghenacia (Dan’s brother) and Thomas Roland (my brother), for the launch of their new label Highpath. So we played unannounced – Stephane and Thomas played back-to-back, then Dan and me went back-to-back. By the way, Chris Carrier joined the bill that night too. He has teamed up with Dan to deliver a remix out on Highpath’s Prologue EP, which will be out soon.
Releases on your own Apollonia label are rare but when they drop, they are always dancefloor bombs. Shonkys Tyrolien was the latest EP, a loopy, playful A-side with a funny sample. Would you like to tell us how you stumbled across it?
SHONKY: I had about 10 tracks I was been working on, which we played in our sets to road test them. They all went through a process that’s intrinsic to the way we select music to release on the label. In the end we chose the three tracks that are on the EP which are carefully curated.
Are you going to be back at the Zoo?
Also, what's next on the label?
DAN: Circoloco and Music On are where we have our residencies so you are more likely to catch us there.
DYED: Next up is a long-awaited repress, which has been causing a bit of a stir for a while now. Dan came across the tracks when he was digging through his collection. It’s funny because the version he’s been playing wasn’t really played much by Dan and his peers back when it first came out in the 90’s. He decided to risk giving it a spin one night and it went off, so then it became a staple in our sets – the crowd reaction has always been pretty insane and the online intrigue has been bubbling
We'd like to get to know you guys a little better! We were often wondering - who is the funniest guy among you three, who is the most sensitive one and who is the biggest party animal?
SHONKY: It depends on the moment, we really complement each other – we like to joke with each other all the time, we spend 14
a lot of time laughing, it’s one of the cornerstones of our friendship. Likewise, we all have our sensitive moments you know! DAN: Each one of us will also like to be the ‘party animal’ at some point, there might be a time when Dyed wants to keep going, or myself, or Shonky. That’s how it goes you know, each of us embodies those qualities at different times.

Apollonia 6 – it comes from that. The lead singer was the fiancée of Prince in Purple Rain, she’s the one who offers him the iconic white guitar. We’ve always described our sound as “white soul, black music” and when you hear the music Prince made, you understand. .

You spend a lot of your lives on the island. What is your opinion on the most discussed topic right now: Can there ever be too many people visiting Ibiza?
SHONKY: Ibiza is as popular as it ever was, and is attracting more and more visitors every year so we understand why this is a topic of discussion. DAN: The issue lies with the fact that so many people who visit are there to spend time in two specific parts of the island, whereas there is so much more to see and do there outside of the clubs in San An and Playa d’en Bossa. How do you see the scene in Ibiza changing or evolving?
DAN: Since we started coming to Ibiza back in the day we’ve seen it become more and more diverse and we think that will continue to happen in the future. There is such a wide range of music events on offer now, catering for everyone from the more spiritually-inclined crowd, to techno heads, those 16

who want more of a VIP style experience to pool parties, bands, hip hop and everything… DYED: When we arrived in Ibiza in 2000 people were already saying the island had changed too much. I think we will hear this again and again as the island is in a perpetual evolution. But this is the party island and that won't change. Finally, can you give us your personal Ibiza tip for all first timers reading these lines!
SHONKY: You can be close to nature in many parts of the island, which is refreshing. So our big tip would be to do some exploring away from the main clubbing centres and to see more of the island. DAN: To find out our summer must do’s, we have cards we are giving away on the island. They have an hotline included and that way you can connect with us and other people. Our fans can leave us a messages via voicemail and we keep them updated with our latest Ibiza-related news.

Playing against all the rules A rebellious start to the weekend
The spirit of rebel has always been alive in Ibiza. Yet certain promoters limit it to just occasional misbehaviour, while the others make a whole cult out of it. As for Fridays in Sankeys, it would be safe to say that a great talent to protest against routine and innovate with immense creativity is in their DNA – and the name of the event is very much tell-tale: Rebels Cave, promises a breathtaking journey. The doors of the club open at 9pm, and hungry punters are invited to a vegetarian barbecue on the open air 18

terrace. Listen to the sounds of live music, admire art installations and definitely visit the experience room – the Rebels know how to craft sensual impressions. The cave has a correspondingly extensive and unique decoration concept, which extends and changes every week. The promoters refuse to give much information about the party, so you have to come to discover this mysterious world, with yourself in it. The dark Basement of Sankeys with its infamous low ceiling will be a perfect match to these vibes of "Discover the Unknown" because what actually happens in the Rebels Cave remains a secret until you explore it! Although a newcomer to having it’s own weekly club night, Rebels Cave already comes with a solid pedigree
of making events in Ibiza. Started as Capadi Rebels boat party, it quickly evolved into one of the most popular nautical affairs of the island. Faithful to the true underground spirit, this boat became a big point of clubbing reference. Later the rebellious team started to co-host Sundays at Sankeys, sharing the venue with Viva Warriors, another party of the revolutionary persuasion. What they did in Spektrum turned out to be such a hit that now they own and rule their proper night, as a very logical continuation of the project. This summer these guys will turn the whole club upside down. Wanna .. feel hi in Ibiza? The superclub, formerly known as Space Ibiza, is stepping into a new glorious era – under a new name and a new management. The room formerly known as Discoteca is now dubbed as Theatre, which sounds like a promise of colourful shows and splendid décor. Frankly, it’s such a pleasure and relief to see theatricality back 20

in Ibiza after so many seasons of the minimalistic march of all-over techno! The room formerly known as Terraza is laconically called Club and thus offers a more traditional raving atmosphere. Since Hï is run by the same team that created and nurtured Ushuaïa, it would only be natural to expect a certain EDM-tinge in their weekly programming. And this is the state of things, indeed. The line-ups are carefully curated by The Night League – the very team responsible for the tremendous success of the almighty Ushuaïa Ibiza. There can be no doubt with such programming and such style Hï Ibiza will be one of the greatest highs you’ll get on the island this summer. Luciano, Joris Voorn, Kölsch, Nic Fanciulli and Steve Lawler are in charge of the brand new In The Dark event which lands on Thursdays.

Hï Sundays, taking place till September 17, have already announced their nearly full line ups. This party is a massive big room house heaven with such heavyweights as Steve Angello, Afrojack and Hardwell on rotation. Mondays, called Multiply, belong to the young and yummy Martin Garrix till September 18. Martin himself will be the king of the Theater, while his partner in crime Thomas Jack will be taking care of the Club. Saturdays up to September 30 boast the debut Ibiza residency of one of the most coveted artists of recent seasons – namely, Black Coffee. This night is destined to be a hit! As for Tuesdays, there will be Eric Prydz behind the decks in the Theatre, orchestrating his own namesake party. With Andrea Oliva on weekly duty in the Club and the likes of Pete Tong, Catz 'N Dogz, Pig & Dan and Dusky in the line-ups, the night will be busy.
Especially on July 18 and August 22, when Deadmau5 will appear with his trademark – and exclusive! – shows. Fridays from to September 29 are oriented on slightly more mature audience. The flamboyant disco affair of Glitterbox, created by the infamous Defected brand, tempts salted party animals with DJ sets by Roger Sanchez, Todd Terry and Masters at Work and prolific live PAs by Barbara Tucker. Wednesdays to September 13 are the realm of another famed Dutch: Armin van Buuren. His UR project will welcome Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano as weekly residents in the Club. theclubbingbible.net 21

The evolutional theory of the Zoo The truly authentic Ibiza experience! To say The Zoo Project have started their season with a bang is something of an understatement. Their fledgling Tuesday event Zoo Evolution has already sealed it’s position as a favourite among the local crowd and the more seasoned island visitors. For their opening party back in May Apollonia´s Dan Ghenacia and Dyed Soundorom played unannounced sets to a packed dancefloor along with Highpath records founders Thomas Roland and Stephane Ghenacia. The calibre of the bookings on Tuesdays has remained equally as high throughout the entire season with appearances from Miguel Campbell, Nakadia, Mr C, Jacky, Timo Mass and Dana Ruh to name but a few. A real music lovers community coupled with an international crowd has made Zoo Evolution the go-to Tuesday event. Their flagship Saturday event opened it’s doors for their 11th season of fun in the sun. The Saturday experience utilises the entirety of the sprawling venue from the amphitheater 22

like Seal Pit, through to the spiritual Mandala Garden, the awesome Treehouse stage and the particularly inviting swimming pool. .. Ushuaia goes full steam ahead Big big room house under the open sky The haven of open air clubbing in Ibiza, Ushuaïa, continues to solidify it’s glory as the main EDM hub of the island. This summer the venue is introducing quite a few changes and has considerably refined it’s programme for the season. ANTS on Saturdays keep being the only – and largely successful – underground event of Ushuaïa’s programme.
Running till September 30, they have booked quite a plethora of top-notch artists: Andrea Oliva, Groove Armada, 26

A massive hit of last summer, Disturbing Ibiza by Tinie Tempah is back on Fridays until September 15, offering a finest selection of pop and hip hop tunes, usually accompanied by DJ EZ. Wednesdays, branded as Limited Edition, will throw in for good measure a mind-blowing mixture of huge EDM artists. Each week will boast its own headliner, be it Hardwell, DJ Snake, Alesso, Diplo, Axwell and Ingrosso or Major Lazer Soundsystem. Get ready for some wonderful diversity on a weekly basis to September 6. Martin Garrix will go on with his Ushuaïa residency on Thursdays until September 14. The young and daring global star makes a perfect match to the hip and lavish ambiance of the venue.
On Tuesdays Dimitri Vegas and Like Mike will turn Ushuaïa into an impressive Garden of Madness, presented by Tomorrowland. Expect huge production and a big roadblock weekly till August 29. Mondays still belong to the one and only David Guetta with his BIG concept. Normally, heavyweight artists limit their Ushuaïa residency to two months only – namely, July and August, the high peak of the summer. BIG this season will continue until as long as August 28. Finally, Sundays are the realm of Kygo. are the ANTSwer No matter which Saturday you come here, you can be sure to see DJs of the premiere league, accompanied by young budding talents, playing under the blue Balearic skies to a smart and sexy crowd.
The production is always superb, with plenty of dancers, acrobats, confetti and fireworks. Year in, year out ANTS has become an absolute gem of Ibiza open-air clubbing. While most other promoters, focused on techno and non-commercial house, are hosting their events on dark sweaty dancefloors after midnight, ANTS is merrily happening in Ushuaïa Ibiza in the pure daylight. ANTS this summer return to their Saturday afternoon / evening slot, running till September 30, an evocative cast of the underground’ s totemic DJs keep the movement moving, among them the master of moods, Andrea Oliva. Taking 10 dates of the residency ahead, the leading man lends an esteemed name, whilst Groove Armada and Maya Jane Coles put their own in lights over several nights. The initiated have reason to predict something special, given that artists like Nic Fanciulli, Joris Voorn, KÜlsch and Steve Lawler regularly summoning up stormy nights. Visit the Sant Jordi flea market on Saturdays where locals are selling their stuff at very low prices. You always will find really amazing bargains. The people and especially drummers make a very special atmosphere that you wouldn't have expected so close to Playa d’en Bossa. Try one of Ibizas famous villa parties. Most incredible locations with good vibe people are waiting for you and you are tasting the latest trends from the island. Try to make friends with some season workers! It’s hard to get your name on the lists, but NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE! One of Ibizas best kept secrets is Casita Verde's vegetarian Sunday lunch in the valley of Benimussa. Head there between 14 - 16.00h and enjoy a delicious menu for only 10 euros, learn great things about permaculture and alternative ways of living.

DO'S & DONT'S
Don't eat the usual dishes you know from home! Ibiza is an international place where so many cultures meet. Try to eat something you have never tried before and get some new cooking ideas as a souvenir. Don't bring huge speakers to the calm beaches as many locals go there to get away from the loud environment. Always respect others and you will be respected!
Don't take a plastic bag for everything you buy in the supermarkets, please! They tend to give you bags for every little item, not being aware of how terribly this affects the island and all the marine eco system. Be smart and use one of those cool Ibiza baskets or a cotton bag! Don't only spend time at the same bach club infront of your hotel, as the island has so many amazing spots to offer which often are not advertised but can be found by asking the locals.
Don't only dance to electronic music in the big clubs but watch out for some live music such as Flamenco or other performances of bands and singers in places such as Cafe Pereyra in the centre of Ibiza town. Let some wild nights begin with some sexy hip shaking moments to the rhythms of the world - ideally, with a glass of iced Hierbas in your hand! Don't be rude to Spanish people when they don't speak English fluently and maybe have a hard time understanding you because of your dialect. Instead try to learn some words Spanish! ARTIST CHECK Ibiza is a very peculiar island. It’s hard for an artist to win a big and loyal following in this highly competitive clubbing environment - but once you’ve won, Ibiza folk won’t be able to imagine a single summer without you. One of the DJs who turned into part and parcel of the island’s clubbing scene years ago is Joris Voorn, the blue-eyed Dutch devoted to most danceable shades of house and techno. This summer Joris enters into a new phase of his impressive Ibiza journey: he secured an exclusive residency for two events, ANTS in Ushuaïa and In The Dark in Hï Ibiza, which is a logical move, since both venues are managed by the same promoters and share the same values. At Hï, Joris appears almost weekly, sharing the noble resident duties with Kölsch, Luciano, Steve Lawler and, predictably, his longtime brother-in-arms Nic Fanciulli. This club, which was previously known as Space, leaves an indelible impression on its guests: fully refurbished and superbly equipped, it is your new must-go-to of Ibiza nightlife. As for ANTS, Voorn has a monthly residency there, sharing the stage with the likes of DJ Sneak, Andrea Oliva, Yousef or UNER. By Ibiza standards, ANTS is a unique event: taking place in a venue normally associated with EDM and big room house, it manages to fill it to the brim thanks to selecting precisely those artists who know how to enchant a daytimeevening open air. Joris started releasing music in 2002 and now boasts a prolific discography of 4 albums, nearly 30 singles and EPs plus hundreds of remixes and collaborations. It’s hard to remember how many times his tracks have become signature tunes of Ibiza summers: The Secret, Incident (Miyagi), Ringo, the historical remix of Beachball by Nalin & Kane… He is one of those musicians who are equally efficient both in the studio and in the DJ booth - and In The Dark, as well as ANTS, gives you another chance to witness him this summer!

KARINA CHACZBABIAN GLOBAL VINYL ADDICT Karina Chaczbabian, Norwegian DJ and producer, grew up in Cairo, Egypt, and after living many years between Berlin and Ibiza, has now chosen Oslo as her next destination. Playing vinyl only and collecting records since 20 years, her style is very eclectic - from disco to techno. We spoke to her about past and future musical and cultural adventures! Karina, you have played in underground clubs in Berlin like CdV, Watergate, Hoppetosse, HRD Bar, Zur Wilden Renate. Which are your best Berlin memories? So many, but my favourite place however is Kater Blau, especially during summer months. Playing on Monday morning in the Kiosk is truly nuts! The crowd is international and down to party and it gets really crazy and packed. 66

ARTIST CHECK When did you lose your heart to Ibiza? I came to the island in 1999 and have been returning ever since. Having worked a few years with Cocoon and Monza, I got involved with Zoo Project and became one of their core residents in 2009.
After so much sun, what is now making the Northern European capital of Oslo appeal to you? I always love to spend time in hi-tech cities and Oslo is one of them. The small but really interesting Norwegian electronic music scene is potent and growing and the multi-culti city has a lot to offer culture wise like festivals, exhibitions - and good sound systems in the clubs! Before you landed in Ibiza this summer, you made a tour to the Americas. Tell us how it was! It was awesome, I was invited to play at my favourite places in San Francisco and passed through Los Angeles, celebrated my birthday in a warehouse with Creme de la Creme crew in Dallas, Texas. I spent time in Houston and Austin as well as went down to Baja California to play Who'sWho festival in Ensenada, Mexico. I really love to travel and play for different crowds and explore their culture and food. What was the best thing that happened to you there? Getting a Pepe Bradock Deep Burnt record for 1 dollar in Houston, Texas! What next are you looking forward to? I’m playing for the first time in Quito in Ecuador on November 9, as well as going back to Mexico, Smartbar in Chicago and The Panther Room in NYC! Apart from music, what do you love? I love whiskey and ceviche!

BLACK COFFEE LANDS A RESIDENCY AT HÏ IBIZA What’s the hottest ticket amongst all the newcomer club nights in Ibiza? Opinions might differ, but the most obvious answer (or at least, one of the strongest contenders) will be Black Coffee at Hï Ibiza. This night, named quite straightforwardly after it’s main protagonist, takes place every Saturday till September 30. South African star is spinning there weekly, manning the Theatre, the main dancefloor. ‘Skyrocket’ would be the best word to describe the rise of Black Coffee in Ibiza. He performed his debut set on the island in 2013, and the lucky ones who managed to get him on board first were, predictably, Circoloco. That was, by the way, precisely 10 years after the artist gradu68

ated from Red Bull Music Academy. Ibiza has welcomed Black Coffee with the greatest acclaim, and as soon as in 2016 he received his well-deserved prize at DJ Awards as the best Deep House DJ. Without doubt, someone had to ‘kidnap’ Black Coffee for a full-scale residency. The quickest ones to do this were Hï Ibiza, the brand new superclub of Playa d’en Bossa that occupies the building which previously belonged to Space Ibiza. For the rest of the season Black Coffee will be accompanied there by such artists as Maya Jane Coles, &ME, Carl Craig, Lee Burridge, Blondi:sh as well as Damian Lazarus, DJ Tennis and DJ Three playing back-to-back all night long. Don’t compromise - let’s live our Saturday nights in black!
THE DARK CHARM OF DANA RUH There is always something mesmerizing about ladies playing techno. This dark, uncompromising music adds to them some otherworldly charm - and, in turn, their creative touch renders to music an additional tinge of mystery and temptation. One of the artists who has perfectly excelled at these halfartistic, half-magical skills is Dana Ruh, born and living in Germany, epitomizing all the innovative cultural potential of this country. Being one of the co-founders of Brouqade Records since 2007 and Aras since 2011, Dana puts out a certain amount of productions on her own record labels. Otherwise, her work has seen light on such imprints as Cocoon and Ostgut Ton, and her one and only artist album so far, called Naturally, was released in 2014 on Underground Quality.

T h i s season Dana has already performed in Ibiza quite a few times. In May, she was playing for the Zoo Project on their central Treehouse dancefloor. Circoloco at DC10 booked her to play alongside The Martinez Brothers, Marcel Dettmann and Jackmaster. Unusual Suspects at Sankeys put their stakes on her, putting her on the same bill with Dani Casarano and Felipe Valenzuela. Relying on this, you can easily imagine which vibes Dana is spreading and which environment she fits the best. On September 18 Dana Ruh will be a part of ladies-only team in the Main room of Amnesia, accompanied by tINI and Nina Kraviz. KNEE DEEP IN TALENT
We here at the Clubbing Bible especially enjoy introducing you to new fellow Ibiza residents: People whose various talents, vision and perseverance have brought them to our rock, in order to follow their dreams. Meet Shawnecy: A young Persian-German producer who brings his knack for singing, rapping and an unerring intuition for melody into his electronic music productions. Usually teaming up with German DJ Pele their touring calendar gets bigger every year, along with their musical output. We are talking here about productions that have been supported by guys like Carola and Väth, Loco Dice, Solomun, Dennis Ferrer or Monika Kruse. Stuff that has landed on the Desolat, Terminal M, Cocoon, Cecille or Toolroom labels. Ever since 2015, when their 'Better for my brain' EP on SNATCH! became something of a summer hit for Pele &

Shawnecy, their productions have earned recognition from all corners of our scene. Dark, yet airy, their house tracks are what some for lack of a more elaborate description might call 'real Ibiza'! After playing the opening of Bora Bora Beach Club early in this season, Pele & Shawnecy have just returned from a longer tour of Australia and New Zealand. The next month’s see Pele hosting the biggest electronic music festival in the South of Germany, Echelon. Meanwhile, Shawnecy is keeping himself busy by releasing his first solo EP on 'Knee Deep in Sound'. Hot Since 82 and his new Pacha residency are quite the talk of the town this summer and will prove a worthy environment for Shawnecy's next steps.

THE GREAT SELECTOR In our modern scene, where technology has made it increasingly easier to djay, producing your own tracks is imperative to getting gigs and making your mark in electronic music. Non-producing DJs in Ibiza have become so rare that this feature in itself makes them stand out: Dutch Job Jobse comes to mind, or the legend Sven Väth, who hasn't produced a track in decades. Without the pressure of toiling away the hours in a studio, these DJs take great pride in having a usually broader range of music in their sets, devoting considerably more time to excessive crate digging. Ben Ufo, as a prime example of the selector DJ, explores a wide scope between house, garage, dubstep and gri72

me. Years in the emerging London dubstep scene in 2005 have shaped his interest in music apart from the usual four-to-the-floor. The Hessle Audio label Ben founded with Pearson Sound and Pangaea in 2007 exhibits this interest in paths less trodden, with standout releases of James Blake or the early productions of Blawan. It is music-centered quality underground nights like Circoloco or Cocoon who regularly book Ufo in Ibiza. Don't hesitate to catch him live at Cocoon on August 14th when Ben Ufo plays the fierce sound system of the Amnesia main room. Also watch out for another possible surprise pop-up at DC10 at some point later in the summer.

Ibiza DANCING FROM SOUTH TO WEST, NORTH TO EAST! Ibiza is all about hidden gems. Travelling around the island you can easily find plenty of venues where you can have greatest fun – and they don’t necessarily have to be clubs. South and North, West and East have so much to offer to a curious party soul! Let’s have a look.
NORTH LAS DALIAS The home of the legendary hippie market in San Carlos also has space for parties and concerts. This season they are welcoming Acid Sundays, one of the most charismatic events of the past two seasons, and UP2US on Wednesdays – and bet that would be a perfect match. ELEMENTS This restaurant perfectly epitomizes the boho spirit of Benirras beach where it is located. SOUTH SANTOS Compact seaside hotel in Playa d’en Bossa, famous for its live rock concerts on Tuesdays. BORA BORA Daily dancing on the beach smack in the middle of Playa d’en Bossa. This year the area behind Bora Bora, around the pool of the namesake apartment complex, has got its own name El Patio – we’ll see how it will develop.
EAST CLUB 107 A tiny underground club in Marina Botafoch. Open all year round and is much beloved by locals. Keep an eye on their summer schedule – there might be quite a few surprises. DESTINO Lovely resort hotel with a Caribbean feel around it, belongs to Pacha group. There is a small underground club called Tox there, but the main party action takes place in the open, around the pool – think of Luciano or Solomun on Thursdays and Guy Gerber on Sundays. Located in Cap Martinet. GUARANA Even though Santa Eulalia might be the last place in Ibiza you think of when planning your party itinerary, Guarana is a very worthy venue. From Thursday through Sunday night all sorts of music are played here, from house to hip hop. 74

TANTRA The ever-buzzing bar in the centre of Playa d’en Bossa is much more than the surface: proceed inside and find yourself in the back room, perfect for all sorts of pre- and after parties. BOUTIQUE HOSTAL SALINAS One of the most charming hotels of the island is notorious for its beginning-of-the-season and end-of-the-season celebrations, as well as certain weekly events and one-offs. This summer pay special attention to social gatherings on Fridays from 6pm till midnight. COVA SANTA Truly magical location built around an ancient cove where hermits used to live. It’s an absolute must to visit WooMoon party, one of the main sensations of 2017. Mind out though! It’s not a weekly event – follow the moon and the calendar to know the dates.
WEST SAVANNAH This Sunset Strip café in San Antonio looks very much like its neighbours at first sight, but don’t be fooled: there is a true treasure cove inside it, called the Back Room. This dark compact space hosts marvelous parties for workers and anyone savvy. OCEAN BEACH CLUB The most popular and stylish daytime party spot in San Antonio. Imagine daily suntan+dance sessions around the pool, accompanied by yummy cocktails and a gorgeous aerial show. Start: midday. End: midnight. IBIZA ROCKS HOTEL As you might guess by the name, this hip San Antonio hotel is famous first and foremost for its weekly rock open air concerts. But in fact the repertoire of the venue is much more diverse: think of Craig David’s TS5 on Thursdays or Cuckoo Land by Do Not Sleep on Sundays.
HOSTAL LA TORRE This enchanting boutique hotel in Cala Gracio boasts a superb sunset view. And of course, these sunsets often go accompanied by top-notch DJ sessions – and a glass of champagne. A small oasis on its own. ITACA This popular bar sits right on the main quay of San Antonio, a few steps away from Eden and Es Paradis. It’s a well-known pre-party spot with a strong DJ crew and contagious vibes. IBIZA ROCKS HOUSE, ALSO KNOWN AS PIKES One of the most emblematic boutique hotels of the island hosts intimate guestlist-only events for the truest Ibiza aficcionados.
