INTRODUCTION
Welcome to St. Francis School!
This Parent and Student Handbook for St. Francis School is designed to familiarize parents and students with the philosophy, policies and procedures of the school, its activities and responsibilities. The handbook is published so that parents and students will know their responsibilities, how to work in partnership with St. Francis School and how to support the efforts of the administration, faculty, and staff in the education of their child.

The handbook is also designed to be the “written contract” between the family and school in terms of the expectations St. Francis School has for the relationship between the school, student and parent. Parents and students are responsible for understanding and complying with the information contained in the Handbook. At the beginning of each year, parents are required to sign the parent contract issued to them with this handbook. (see appendix B)
Policies included in the handbook may be amended, revised, added to or deleted at the discretion of St. Francis School. If this occurs, the school will attempt to give prior written notice. The most current version of the handbook will always be posted to our website. The term “parent” used throughout the Handbook will mean the biological or adoptive parent or legal guardian of a child.
