Media Release and Consent Policy

St. Francis School recognizes the value of using audio-visual and other types of electronic communication in providing our children with an effective education. Students and their schoolwork projects are often photographed or videotaped as part of the educational program and are used in productions by the school or a coalition of schools.

Annually, parents/guardians are asked to sign a Media Release and Consent Form granting permission for photographs or videotapes of their child or their child’s work to be used in media presentations that are made available to other educational institutions or through a cable television station or network. The Media Release and Consent Form also grants permission for photographs to be used in the print media or on the school website or Facebook page. The Media Release and Consent Form includes permission for the student’s image, name, work product, school and grade to be included in the presentation(s). No other information about a student or his/her schoolwork will be revealed without our prior parent consent.
