Important information before installation Prior to installation, please note the following information as it may impact the performance and function of the reader. 1. The reader may not be installed directly onto a metal surface, close to metal or other electric conductive material since this can interfere with the reader’s RFID signals. If the reader is going to be mounted on metal please use spacer plate art.no. F1140 or F1150. 2. The minimum distance between two readers must be at least 50 cm (20 inch). Otherwise they may interfere with each other. 3. Always test the reader in its intended environment before permanent installation. 4. To protect the reader’s internal relay a protection diode should always be installed between the positive and ground terminal. This is also valid when using an external relay. 5. Vi recommend to always use an external relay when controlling an electronic device such as electric strike, magnetic valve etc. 6. Put the cover sticker on the card reader when the reader is fully installed and tested. 7. Ensure that the power supply is stabilized and rectified 12V.
