Hello, I am Parth Agrawal, currently in my fourth year of undergraduate degree for Bachelor of architecture. I consider myself an observant and a thinker, in a constant state of wonder. During my course I have developed a keen interest in graphic and product designing plus some mild carpentry.
I see design as a never ending process. While designing I have always considered building as a mutating term that has its own conscious.

/Under the Streets
Design & Detail | Sem 6
Guide: Anuj Daga
Location: Bimbisar Nagar, Goregaon
“Under the streets” is a project that re-imagines the concept of how a street is looked upon in a transit camp. This endeavor seeks to tranform traditional street dynamics and adapt them to unique oppurtunities provided within the context of the location by designing a community space.
The side walk accounts for various activities that goes on the site. The design concept emerges from integrating the sidewalk into the design.
By using ramps, the sidewalk is woven into the site making it one enormous track that connects the entire design. The ramps then serves multifunctional purposes, transforming into terrace, hawking spaces, cycling/ jogging tracks, kid’s play area, nurseries and more. Acting as a focal point they offer moments of leisure amidst activities, pause points.
vendors aquiring an area for setting up their shops and using the compund wall as a storage unit
sidewalk acting as a sitting and socialising space for women infront of the school
hawkers while temporary claiming a space also use the banners, tarpulin and various other elemnts for protection against sun whilst creating a boundry

Typology Studies | Sem 4
Guide: Rupali Gupte
Location: Tapola Village, Mahableshwar
The studio was focused on understanding type and pattern of a cluster in the village and to design a homestead with that.
The plinth to be used as a partition between two spaces and to carry that notion on a hilly site and at the same time looking at the wall through niches which kind of creates private/ semi-private spaces in a unit.
The edge of the retaining wall on the site is used as an elemnt while designing the homesteads. All of the units are placed along this edge creating shared spaces between these units.
Plinths are used to seperate the units into various utilitity areas to avoid any visual boundary. Every time the plinth rises by 500 mm which makes the homesteads as a these elongated stepped unit which can easily sit on a contour.

Allied Studies | Sem 5 Guide: Dushyant Asher with Akansha Satpute, Swayam Motghare & Yash Shah
An ongoing research and practice at SEA, the studio of 2023-24 focuses on testing material diagrams in glass fiber and resin under the gravity and as folds experimenting with the techniques of origami. The intent is to make a 1:1 scaled production of these material diagrams.
We also looked at the idea of sustanibility thorugh the lens of durability and care. These diagrams are meant to have a life of 30 years after which another coat of resin just extends it further.
Different geometries were tried using origami as a method on a glass fibre sheet which was later covered with a couple layers of resin for the fibre to hold on to the folds.
/Building making
Working Drawings | Sem 6
Guide: Gauri Joshi
Location: Bimbisar Nagar, Goregaon (E)
The project was aimed at detailing while understanding the material we use in construction and its possibilities. These details were taken further by imagining them in a space and building a certain language.
/Street Vending Zones
Specialization Studio | Sem 5 with Hunnarshala
Location: Bhid Gate, Bhuj with Sanskriti Agrawal and Samkit Racca
The studio was aimed towards looking at the value chain dynamics of different vendors (street or otherwise).
The streets around the gate are known for informal vending of a variety of goods such as fruits, vegetables, used clothes, recycled furniture and much more.
Using the walls of Bhid gate to host some laser shows in order to increase its tourism.
To also include a parking space for the rickshaws and utility areas such as toilets, waste disposal units and washing areas.
Re-arranging the carts in such a way that it enhances visibility and accesibility for the vendors as well as the customers.
The study is about the relationship between tangiable physicalities of space/ form, the context that produces them and the life they can afford.
Through the method of measured drawings on this site, the spatial logics, materiality and construction techniques are identified and documented.

Specialisation Studio | Sem 3 Guide: Pratik Modi
The course started with the basics of 3D modelling using two different workflows: 3D sculpting and technical design. It taught us how to set up 3D objects to create beautifully lit and creatively composed renders.

Beyond Architecture
Other than architecture I love making posters and I enjoy designing logos and do 3d modelling. I am also kind of interested in product designing and I am trying for free lance logo desiging work.
