From Amanda: One of our listeners, who is a little boy, gave $5 for our End of Year fundraiser, so Christian and I did a shout out to him. His mom sent me this email: “Mason was so excited to hear you on Tuesday tell his story. He loves this station as well as me. He wants to come visit sometime soon. He got tickets from the elves to see Chris Tomlin and Cain. Thank you for all you do.
Can’t wait to see who comes to Fun fest this year for the Christian concert. We literally seen For King and Country Drummer Boy Live at theatre twice and he wants me to buy on Amazon. This kid has a heart for Jesus.
We went a Christmas to Walgreens and he saw a chocolate that said the perfect man. He got mad and said there is only one perfect man and that’s Jesus. He said if anyone disrespects my Savior then I don’t like them. He pushed the entire box to back and covered it up.
Received this email from a listener who received one of our WCQR New Listener Welcome Kits in the mail: “I just wanted to reach out to you and say a great big thank you to the mini mail care pkg that you sent to me (including stickers)!
I live alone with my emotional support dog Gabriel (Gabe), cat Isabella, and have a good circle of friends. But, it really meant the world for me to open my mailbox and get that special package! I listen to WCQR all the time! After I pray and read my Bible in the morning, I get on my app on my phone and start my day. Then, I get in my car and WCQR is on my radio! I am addicted!!! Anyways, thanks again! You made my day!!!
“I just wanted to let you know this station has comforted me through losing my mom and dad 3 months apart. Then when my granddaughter was murdered I cried in my car and God put the songs there that we used at her funeral. Three years ago my world fell apart and WCQR was there to allow God to comfort me through the music and ministry. Thank you so very much for your service to the Lord.”
Message from a woman who is taking the 30 Day Challenge and going through the devotionals we have online.
Someone whose husband just passed away commented on a facebook post asking for prayer. They have been donors since Spring 2024, so we wrote a card with prayers and WCQR stickers. She sent this message through the app/Clearstream:
“My husband passed away on Jan 11... and y’all sent us a card with stickers that my kids and I very much appreciate. Thank you for being the station that helps us get through this new season of our lives.”
Follow up: All day long. There’s rarely a time we aren’t listening. Counting my blessings -- Seph; He’s my king -- Cece Winans; We believe -- Newsboys; Take it all back -- Tauren Wells. All these songs we played at his service. And they were favorites of his, as well as ours. Nothing like singing together in the car -he loved listening to the kids sing. Thank you again.
A message from her daughter-in-law: “I appreciate you for reaching out! Madison let me know as she got a text from you guys! Thank you for all you guys do! I’m coming all the way from Maine to be here with them at this time of need. I love it here. She had shown me your station and I’ll be listening and showing your station up north!”
