Must see The pristine Yeagarup dunes form one of the largest dune systems in the world. The drive across the top of the dunes is amazing. The shady peaceful campsites situated at Lake Yeagarup are a great base to explore the dunes and coastal area. What you need to know The track onto Yeagarup dunes and to Yeagarup beach is soft sand, you will need to reduce tyre pressure. The track has poles that mark the route across the dunes and you must stay within these markers on your way to the beach, this will ensure that you stay safe and that the dunes are not impacted upon for future visitors. Getting there 20km from Pemberton. Travel along the Vasse Hwy and turn off onto Ritter Road within the Warren National Park. Ritter Road will take you straight to the Lake. From the lake, let your tyres down and take the track over the dunes to the beach. Travel Time? It takes approximately 35 mins to get to Yeagarup Lake from Pemberton town and then approx 40 mins to get onto the beach. What to do? Traverse the challenging sand dunes in your 4WD to the beach for fishing (Salmon in April) and beachcombing. Set up camp at the lake and enjoy a BBQ or picnic, walking, and photography.
