There’s plenty to do, making it a great day out: take a guided tour to learn the art of cider making, join the trailer ride around orchids, go and see the friendly farm yard and visit the first distillery and combined cellars in Cornwall for 300 years.

LAPPA VALLEY STEAM RAILWAY In the unique historic setting of the Lappa Valley you’ll find lots of fun things to do and discover – including three separate miniature railways running through this oasis of conservation where wildlife thrives in a protected environment. Running between the stations at Benny Halt and East Wheal Rose, the track runs on a section originally built in 1849 for a minerals railway to serve the mine at East Wheal Rose.

At Callestick Farm they use daily fresh milk from their own herd of cows, Cornish cream and the finest fruits and confectionery to create flavour upon flavour of indulgent Cornish ice creams. None of the rich dairy goodness is removed and nothing artificial is added. So why not visit the farm and meet the animals, nothing can be better than trying one of our ice creams for yourself.

Located in a stunning position next to the sand at Watergate Bay on the North Cornish coast. Cornwall is a heaven for food lovers, offering fabulous seafood and a wealth of fantastic local produce; Fifteen makes full use of this, serving modern, Italian-influenced dishes, using seasonal ingredients from the finest artisan producers in the county, and is a credit to the Jaime Oliver restaurant chain.

Whether you have just enjoyed a round of golf at the Perranporth Golf Club or a scenic flight over the beautiful Cornish coastline from the Perranporth Aerodrome, this Cornish Inn is the perfect place to stop of for a refreshing drink or meal.

E XC E L L E N C E C O M E S A S S TA N DA R D We spent many months looking for the right park and covered Devon, Dorset and Cornwall in the process. It began to seem like an impossible task and we didn’t want to compromise on what would be the second biggest expenditure we would make in our lives. Quite by chance we came across the Oyster Bay website in the autumn of 2012 and in March 2013 found ourselves in Padstow on a short break with the intention of seeing Jon and the team in Goonhavern. After only 15 minutes of being on-site we had made our minds up - this was the place for us and the deposit was quickly placed on one of the plots being created in the Watergate Bay development. A couple of months later the news that Park Leisure had bought the pub in the village and were going to renovate it seemed a further vindication of our choice and of Park Leisure’s longterm commitment.

We took ownership of our Lodge in September of 2013 and can honestly say that the site, the Oyster Bay team, the New Inn team and the owners we have met have all been great and made us very welcome. We are really looking forward to spending our time at Oyster Bay and thanks to its excellent position in Cornwall have a long list of things to see and do. By the way the beer and food in the pub are excellent too!

When you look at everything you have on-site such as the 5-star service, the Owners' Lounge, swimming pool, concierge, tennis court, boules and kids' playground, it’s quite an overall package for such a small park.

Our oldest son is very sporty so he loves all the water sports that are on offer here. He brings his own canoe, paddleboard, and he just enjoys it.
