No. 5 restaurant is part of the Grassington House Hotel and offers a dining area, bar area and sunny terrace for you to enjoy their delicious food. They offer all the traditional Yorkshire favourites with a contemporary twist and seasonal dishes served with imagination, including their very own hand-reared rare breed pork. Take your pick from a coffee and a cake and light bites through to a full a la carte menu.

Situated in the picturesque market town of Leyburn and nestling on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales National park, Thirteen brings to the table great food in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Serving seasonal, freshly cooked food with an unashamedly British bias.

Main St, West Witton, Leyburn DL8 4LS. A Wensleydale landmark since the 1600s the once bucolic Heifer is now a country-chic Boutique Hotel and Restaurant. Despite the Bovine name seafood is the kitchen's main business and visitors can choose to eat informally in the bare tabled fish bar or splash out amid the 'contemporary decadence' of the main restaurant. In such beautiful surroundings this is a food experience not to be missed.

MOTHER SHIPTON’S CAVE

Mother Shipton’s Cave is a wellloved tourist attraction in the area with an interesting story attached.

Mother Shipton was a local witch who prophesied future events through her poems. Visit the Petrifying Well or take a trip to the boat house or historic museum to discover the whole story for yourself in mystical surroundings.

With plenty to do and see in North Yorkshire from rambling through the countryside to visiting sites of historical importance you will never be short of things to do at Chantry.

Having some of the finest cuisine in the UK and a huge variety of arts from budding performers to incredible theatres, the area has a magnetic pull on all who visit drawing them back again and again. Our holiday homes in North Yorkshire are the perfect base to investigate, explore and discover everything that the area has to offer.

This outstanding area of limestone pavements, upland hill farms and flowerrich hay meadows provide a marvellous setting for walking, cycling or just enjoying the great outdoors. You might even remember it from your school Geography trips! The National Nature Reserve is home to a unique community of rare plants and animals - the bird hide in particular is worth a visit.

A theme park with something for all ages Light Water Valley provides a special day out when staying at the park. The perfect outing that's packed full of exhilarating rides, fairground entertainment, and even pedal boats.

Lightwater Valley is a day not to forget.

The largest forest in Lancashire, Gisburn Forest has a network of waymarked forest walks and a cycle trails. These are based on existing forest roads offering a variety of routes, with the total length of the cycle network at 16km. What better way to enjoy a gentle stroll in stunning surroundings with your family?

AY S G A R T H FA L L S A N D HARDRAW FORCE Hawes, DL8 3LZ. If hiking, exploring and seeing impressive waterfalls along the way is your thing then Aysgarth Falls and Hardraw Force are an absolute must-see.

BOLTON ABBEY

Bolton Abbey is in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales on the banks of the River Wharfe. With just under 30,000 acres of beautiful countryside, over 80 miles of footpaths and ample space to run around and enjoy the fresh air, there is something for all ages. Explore the ruins of the Priory and discover a landscape full of history and legend or wander along the riverside, woodland and moorland paths.

FORBIDDEN CORNER Tupgill Park Estate, Coverham, Leyburn, DL8 4TJ. Ideal for adventurers and especially the kids. Discover the secrets in the labyrinth of chambers, follies and surprises in this four-acre garden in Tupgill Park in the Yorkshire Dales.

WENSLEYDALE CREAMERY Gayle Lane, Hawes, Wensleydale, DL8 3RN. Indulge your love of all things cheese at Wenselydale Creamery. See how the cheese is made, purchase your own, to take home, at the quaint gift shop or book the ‘Yorkshire Wenselydale Cheese Experience’.

YORKSHIRE THREE PEAKS If you’re a keen hiker, you’re in the right place! Either take the Ingleborough, Pen-y-ghent or Whernside walk or - if you’re feeling really adventurous complete the Three Peaks Challenge which is 12 hours to complete 24 miles and three peaks.

From the moment we both set foot onto Chantry we knew immediately it was for us! Set in a fabulous location in the Yorkshire Dales with wonderful views all around. The grounds are kept immaculate and the staff are exceptionally helpful, knowledgeable and friendly, making us feel welcome from the start, which has made our experience of purchasing our first holiday home really easy and special!

The peace and tranquillity at Chantry is fantastic, we both lead very busy hectic lives, so being only one hour away from our holiday home is ideal and we are looking forward to using it throughout the winter months and indeed hopefully over the festive period.

We have a great pitch on the park, overlooking the hills and we adore sitting on the decking enjoying a glass of wine or two.

After our first visit to Chantry, we were stunned at the immaculate condition of the site and its facilities. When we moved in it felt like we were part of the Chantry family the staff was so welcoming and helpful we couldn’t thank them more.

Our hand over for our new lodge was with Sue, showing us in great detail everything about our new holiday home and its features. We visit Chantry every weekend and Friday cannot come soon enough! We have met some great new friends and been places we would never have visited. We look forward to many good times ahead here at Chantry in the many years to come!
